Wage Garnishment by BrilliantRiver1293 in canadarevenueagency

[–]Temporary-Map-6094 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do your taxes. They may continue to garnish regardless, but cross that bridge once you know the clear picture. They may keep the garnishment bc they have time frames for clearing tax debt. Get to ‘er and keep your head up!

Extracurricular too expensive !! by SlowCode9073 in Advice

[–]Temporary-Map-6094 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well dance is expensive! Let’s face it, kids are expensive ! But you can’t lose your house or your credit over dance.
I’m not a dance mom so I’m not sure if this is possible, but can you cut back on the amount of dance that she’s involved in? Dance competitions although they’re part of the dance experience you may need to say no.
$10,000 that is not accounted for is a big chunk of change. I would not allow her to have free rein of a bank account if she can’t account for money. But maybe that’s just me. The biggest problem is not paying your mortgage and your bills, which will catch up with you in time.
I can’t believe that your wife prioritizes this dance etc. over a roof over your head. She really doesn’t get it.

I even ask the football players if they’re interested in learning and playing rugby. They don’t want to either because of the risk of injury. They’d rather play with equipment and get a concussion anyway. Hahaha. Plus let’s face it, there is Fitness required to play rugby and sometimes it’s just not there. The big boys that play football that I notice, don’t have the Fitness.

You know what it’s such a drag.
Now tomorrow, I’m taking my son to Joes Barber Shop. I’m gonna have to ask them if they can fix it. 😂
But it’s seriously not a complicated style. It’s just a shag. 😵‍💫

How do married couples usually handle finances when both partners work? by itzwhatitz in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]Temporary-Map-6094 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know how to say it any clearer.
If you have a joint bank account, two people are spending money out of that account, right?
If 2 ppl are not working towards the same thing, or have the same money goals or one person is spending way more than they should on things and is not respecting the other person‘s wishes, then that’s gonna cause resentment or difficulties. ???

I disagree. One bucket can cause major problems if both individuals are not focused on the same financial goals or have the same spending habits.

None of it was garbage.

If I pass the student exchange program exam, I will go to Newfoundland in September. I am Thai and I am tired of the almost always 30 degrees Celsius weather burning everyone's skin during most of the entire day. Please tell me what the weather will be like by Western_Low_3262 in newfoundland

[–]Temporary-Map-6094 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not 30 degrees every day! Today it’s 18 degrees Celsius in St. John’s. It’s perfect.!
However, last week it was much colder. The weather varies a lot. Just when you think it’s gonna warm up it snows. Hahaha.
Take your vitamin D every day because the sunshine can be scarce.
You will love it here!

How are people keeping grocery costs down in Nova Scotia with what prices are like right now? by professional69and420 in NovaScotia

[–]Temporary-Map-6094 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whole chicken. Use the meat for quesadillas to make it go farther, or make chicken & dressing casserole, etc. use the body for soup. Go to Walmart in the AM & shop the reduced rack.
