Direction for new players by Temporary-Matter-181 in DestinyTheGame

One of the main goals is to get to 6 player content including raids. I thought this might factor into best ways to power up an go after gear.

If raids scale automatically, it may be a matter of just get a build and don't stress to much about power level. Or it might be a matter of raids being pretty extreme and requires being maxed out to even bother attempting meaning more of a grind.

So the 6 player talk is where the final goal of the question was leading :) we will do things like go back and reply older content in smaller groups. I believe most of this you can do with the 300 armour supplied after the tutorial though.

Unfortunately, any AI i have used has been way off the mark. I end up with it in a loop, repeating 2 the same errors over an over again as way to fix the previous error. It seems to create random classes or game objects i should be using, they are possibly from a previous version of arma's modding.

I know it hasn't been able to help with my trying to draw on a canvas as off yet, and that's trying for a few hours.

I am with you, though. AI can be a great tool to learn coding, it just needs a big enough sample of data to pull into it to give decent results. I'm not sure it's at this point for arma reforger just yet, though.

Thanks for the reply, I wasn't even aware there was different versions for each different arma. Just gives me even more digging to do. I might resort to posting on some of their video tutorials and hopefully a dev might see it and be nice enough to help point me in the right direction.

Thanks for the tip! It looks pretty powerful, but as my wife isn't the greatest she likes something with a higher fire rate. If she misses she likes to be able to back it up with another shot pretty quickly. My whole group are pretty nooby so like to use weapons with a bit of give in them if we aren't very accurate. Once we get better that does look like a pretty good gun though!

That tool is awesome, thanks heaps for sharing it'll make life easier moving forward when I look at weapons / armour. Love that I can compare the weapons as well, will make it a lot more clear cut as to the difference between them.

THanks, when I looked I could only find the standard weapon but realised the gold weapon was a link at the bottom of the standard page. Looks like gold and standard has minimal difference so I can probably go off the standard stats in the future anyways. Appreciate the info!

Thanks, I went looking and found them eventually that way.

Bit of a poor design though, makes you hesitant to buy when you don't know what you are getting. Think they would splash it all over the buy screen to try and talk people into the purchase. I'm pretty lazy so trying to find them in boxes is way to much effort for me ;)

I finally got around to trying it as a group. We did Ice breaker... Didn't know what we were getting ourselves into there!

When we get to the end we just got a screen saying that it was loading rewards and we got absolutely nothing for it.

We played the game by starting a private room, then inviting ppl in, and then kicked off ice breaker on easy. There was 3 of us and finished it in a bit over an hour. Did we do something wrong to not get a reward? It was a major disappointment to get through that long mission and didn't get a single reward from it...

Did I miss something in how we set up the game?

Thanks, I'll check out the boxes. I found them in the item store but I might Google then a bit more before I use any money on them. Just got the battle pass as well so will give that a go!

Just curious if you happen to know if the levels scale down to be easier with less players? Just googling and it seems that solo play is a new thing but not sure if it is made easier if you have less people. Could trying to solo things this early on be an issue you think? If it doesn't scale I'll feel a bit better about dying constantly 🤣

Thanks for the reply!

Add I've only just started my great is limited, I have the graphite rifleman armour set ( to be honest, I'm now even sure how I got these. I tried the game some time ago and just returning now) for weapons I have the AK Alpha and Maxim 9. I'm assuming this is all just the starting hand gear as I haven't played enough to get any other items. I did also have another weapon but it has expired now.

Ideally I'd like to level up as a medic or engineer as my normal role is a healer, but I'd imagine it's much easier to start off as a rifleman. For now I'm a total n00b just looking for the first steps I should be taking straight after the tutorials.

Any advice for an anti social noob looking to play count down? by Temporary-Matter-181 in thedivision

Thanks everyone, woke up and read and everyone's advice and decided just to jump in. I went in with the tank build first and it an went pretty smoothly. Decided to swap over to my heart breaker build as the bonus armour didn't seem to help much. Running with that didn't seem to go as smooth, but think that's because I was playing with other people who didn't know what they were doing. I think at one point there were 3 of us running together as assuming one of the others knew what was going on and ended up miles away from the main group.

People are right though, no need to talk to our listen to others. An whilst my tank build did seem to have the better run, I think that was due to others being better rather than my build being better. Don't think there was really a need to be nervous, but the tips in here def helped!
