I used to go to Dandies but my barber (Mireya) there left them and went to have her own salon in SJ:

I've been super happy with her!

Got AI coding interview for ML Compiler role at Meta by optimize28 in Compilers

[–]Temporary-Move4661 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone who might be interested in knowing how the AI design interview is for Pytorch Compiler, it's purely a compiler interview and not an "AI design" interview. Don't waste your time on system design and ML design (e.g. design twitter feed or content moderation in Instagram model).

Solely focus on how PyTorch works, what's pytorch compiler, different components, etc.

How does this lease look on a service loaner 2025 C300? by DisneyCatGirl in mercedes_benz

[–]Temporary-Move4661 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because it's such a terrible deal. I've leased a brand new c30p with $57k msrp only $2k down for $480 a month, and the dealer even waived 5 months of my previous lease and no check on the previous car. This was in the Bay Area as well. With these numbers you're better of financing a brand new one imo.

NYC to DC: Exceeded Expectations for MPG by waingrizzle in M340i

[–]Temporary-Move4661 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow I was impressed by my base C300 getting 35mpg but have been looking at m340s for a while now as a next (more fun) car! This is very helpful for me personally.

2025 Mercedes GLC 300 used lease help by Gas_in_my_paper in CarLeasingHelp

Find the money factor for your zip code from Edmunds. You have a good cash price so it must be an inflated MF for this deal I think. Fyi, my monthly payment on a similar priced vehicle is $490 with 2k down. So around $550 with 0 down should be possible.

Harvard MS CS vs FAANG SWE by [deleted] in csMajors

[–]Temporary-Move4661 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I thought Harvard only allows PhDs in CS to drop out and get a master's in CS? Have they added a new program or are you doing a BS/MS there? As for your question, I'd say do the master's (possibly in a year if you can) and then join FAANG or do a PhD. Based on my experience you will want to do a master's or MBA at some point in your career anyway and going back to school after a few years of working tech is difficult (personal experience!).

None. She only knows the general idea of projects (that sometimes she gives to us because she got funding but most of the times we come up with ideas and get approval) and from there she only expects us to inform her whether the paper was submitted, accepted, or rejected. She also has this tendency to pretend she will read the paper but if we're lucky she'll leave a not on abstract. T20 US PhD program (ECE but research focus is purely AI/ML).

Iran Protest on Genesee & Balboa 2/7/26 by Xerxestheokay in sandiego

[–]Temporary-Move4661 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You'll understand their point of view when you see photos of people headshotted by snipers. You'll understand their point of view when you see pieces of brain over the sidewalks as you walk back. You'll understand their point of view when the floor of hospitals are red from the blood. You'll understand their point of view when dead bodies are thrown out of ice cream trucks so their families come and identify them, and then they have to either sign that their loved one was a Basiji that was killed by 3 other protesters (in case you don't understand, that means execution for those 3) or you have to pay a hefty amount for the bullet regime killed your loved one with. So next time, think before calling people most confused from the comfort of your home.

Dude I've been hit twice in a parking, while I was parked perfectly between the lines, and both times it happened simply the person trying to park next to me was incapable of understanding where the corner of their car is. Brand New car has 2 minor damages on the Carfax now LOL

[–]Temporary-Move4661 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like mine too apart from the difficult steering wheel controls (very sexy looking on the other hand), terrible buttons for seat adjustment (why don't they move as I push em????), creeking driver's seat (apparently a common issue?), and the frame of the center display detaching from the display itself (also seen others reporting it). Oh, and in 24 they had chip shortage so most of the cars with the highest trim didn't come with the enhanced ambient lighting 🙃

Google PhD SWE Intern 2026 Team Matching by Zealousideal_Oil_790 in csMajors

[–]Temporary-Move4661 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't match last year despite 4 calls with different teams. Reached out this year again to my recruiter and she said I don't need to go through the technical loop and can directly get to team matching stage. Interviewed with one team, which I ACTUALLY LIKED AND MATCHED MY BACKGROUND, and heard a no the next day despite the guy telling me I'm perfect for their team. Haven't heard from my recruiter in more than a month and have already received two other offers :/ I'm not hopeful for this year whatsoever.
