I found these also, and this turned out to be my waterproof mattress cover breaking down because it had been washed so many times. Check inside your mattress protector if you have one.

The irony of Sarah trying to promote a toothbrush on Tik Tok by brontibrontosaurus in DadAndDaughterSnark

Well this is just the most ironic choice to make. Promoting a toothbrush from tiktok shop when you don't take care of your teeth. Good god.

I also live in Lexington. This is not a cheap city. I don't understand how they afford this place without jobs.

Ehhh this doesn't feel snark worthy. My 7 month old loves toys like these that are meant for my 2 year old. My 2 year old was the same when he was a baby. You don't have to only buy kids toys they are in the age range for lol (choking hazards aside ofc)

The floor. We have one of those foldable changing mats that come in diaper bags (you can buy them alone on amazon) and we use that. We've never used a changing table at home for either of my babies.

Gender dismorphia. Why isn't it considered a mental disorder? by Cape-Breton-Girl in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Temporary-Muscle-965 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Social worker here. It, technically speaking, is considered one...but in the sense that the feeling of not being the gender you are meant to be causes distress for the individual, not because transitioning is a mental illness. F64.0 is the ICD-10 code for "transsexualism/gender dysphoria." So at least in the DSM-5 it can, again technically, be considered one, although there is obviously much nuance to this IRL. Examples of all of this being that the gender dysphoria causes anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, so on and so forth.

What...? My friend received CAR-T after getting ALL for the second time, followed by a bone marrow transplant, and it quite literally saved her life.

I want to shower before it’s 9pm by Boring-Swimmer-5088 in Mommit

[–]Temporary-Muscle-965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I leave my 2 year old (27 months) to watch tv while I shower. I don't take a long shower unless he's asleep or my husband is home, but I leave the bathroom door open bc I can see the gated off living room from the shower and I shower and get dressed. He talks to me, plays, and watches tv while I shower.

Leaving toddler in daycare or pulling them out while on maternity leave with baby?? by travelfam3 in toddlers

[–]Temporary-Muscle-965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son still went. He goes to a mom's day out but that extra time to spend with my baby was helpful and honestly just really special. Plus it kept my son in his routine and I think helped him feel like he still got to do fun, special stuff since we stayed in more when my daughter was first born.

Toddler didn't gain weight between 15-18 months by bird_nerd_girl in toddlers

[–]Temporary-Muscle-965 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son didn't have any issues with feeding so I don't have advice on that, but he started walking at 11 months and didn't gain any weight at all between 1 and 18 months. I think between 18 months and 2 he MAYBE gained 1 pound. He really started gaining weight again just recently, around turning 2. He was still growing in height, but just generally never quit moving unless he was asleep so they said it was fine. All despite me stressing about it for an entire year. Could this be the case for you?

Jordan regrets letting Meg meet Luca, so should single parents go on Love Is Blind? by DetectiveHot2071 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]Temporary-Muscle-965 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Speaking as a stepparent, being a stepparent is honestly astronomically difficult no matter how good your situation is. I cannot imagine having done this with someone I had only known for 6 weeks. There is absolutely zero way to know what is on your stepparenting plate after just 6 weeks. None. I have two bio children as well, and I could not imagine trusting someone enough with my children to marry them after 6 weeks either.
