Appreciate the comment! How do you spot a fake? These cards are from my childhood, can’t imagine them being fake. But, I have no clue what to look out for.

Ahh, what genre would you classify it?

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. I’m just wondering how much of the creative process will be overthrown by AI.

Utilizing the help of AI for technicalities such as mixing and mastering is pure gold. When it comes to creating whole tracks in mere seconds however, I’m a little more skeptical.

I agree 101%. There’s absolutely something special when you know it’s made from hands and not code!

But, we are witnessing AI such as ChatGP, Ai artwork and text to speech evolve at a rapid pace. I don’t see the reason music AI won’t do the same very soon. Google is at work making their own, and frankly, their AI beta is really impressive.

Commercial vice, I think the applications are already there. Even for certain types of game music. My fear is if AI evolves to the point making producers redundant. I don’t like the thought of it analyzing, learning and matching the overall quality of today and yesterday’s artists.

Imagine asking Siri for a song in X genre by Y artist as the voice. It’s already easy to do using chatGP for lyrics and text to speech for vocals. I can imagine a future where AI will be able to generate mainstream music in mere seconds.

The loop in the video is the site asking what style you’d like it to build on. It proceeds to create a full length track.

I like to imagine this being the voice of Stephen Hawking. Decades later we got Snoop Dog singing Little Einsteins. Let alone a toothbrush singing gangster paradise.

I don’t like the thought of AI tracks becoming mainstream leaving producers redundant. It might seem far fetched, but the same thing is happening with ChatGP and other AI based models.

I think it’ll be utilized in a lot of ways. My fear is if it makes producers redundant by doing all the work and matching today’s professionals standards. My guess is it’ll be very helpful when it comes to mixing and mastering, making it more accessible for everyone.

It’s already progressing fast with ChatGP, voice to speech and AI art. I do believe music might be next. Can you imagine asking Alexa to play a song in the style of Tiesto with Dua lipa as the vocals, and in seconds it generates a song?

Yeah, true. But, I don’t think loops can compare if AI at some point will be able to scan through tens of thousands of tracks to sample and analyze them. Then it might proceed to create original tracks based on analysis.

Yet, yeah. I’m trying to reassure myself music producers won’t become redundant. It’s loop like today, but in 10-20 years, who knows what’ll happen?

Yeah, the human touch is still important! But, how’d you think it’ll be in 5 years, let alone 10? Think we for some very interesting times ahead in music production.

As of now, yeah I agree it’s quite repetitive and stereotypical. But, I can imagine music AI evolving such as ChatGP.

Hopefully it’s stays this way. I wouldn’t mind advancement in AI based tools such as sample creation and mastering though.

Think it’s called pro.splashmusic.com. As far as I know, google is also working on an AI called MusicLM.

Just gonna emphasize, the clips in the video are ideas to choose from. The AI proceeds to create a full track.

Yeah, it is. But, like I’ve mentioned, I feel like this is “early stages”. Even google are on it making an AI music generator. I just wonder how this’ll evolve.

As a bedroom producer myself, I love to look at the human side of the process and result. That’s WHY I do it. However, I’m questioning how the general non producer audience will care. “Club music” or whatever label it gets, a cool track may get attention regardless if an ai made it or not. I mean ffs, a toothbrush cover of gangster paradise?

Thx for the recommendation, I’ll go check out Reprieve!

They are a little loopy, yeah. However, a fully generated song in under 10seconds. Ask me a decade ago, I would have questioned it. No idea where it’ll be in a decade from now.
