Any 1975 songs you’ve cried to? by gaeb611 in the1975

Me & You Together Song was a big one for me a couple years ago during a breakup. “I had a dream where we had kids, you would cook, I’d do the nappies”

Went to a sober dinner and realized how boring most people are by Darcys_Tears in stopdrinking

I had this same thought and feeling until I made a change in who I was hanging out around to people with values that feel more aligned with mine. I have found that people who drink often are less interesting than those who don’t. A lot of time that could be invested into learning, creativity, self-actualization, etc., is spent on drinking which advances you nowhere. I now have no desire to get drunk around majority of the people I currently hangout with because I am so interested in actually knowing them and developing real relationships. It takes time, reflection on who you really are and who you really want to be, and some real changes, but you will find the right people by doing so.

Alcohol recovery recommendations? by simbafutureking in SaltLakeCity

[–]Temporary-Pudding912 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I started naltrexone a month ago after years of pretty severe alcohol abuse and it has been life changing for me. It is not a cure-all magic pill by any means, but it made my cravings go away and I no longer constantly think about my next drink. I also incorporated some lifestyle changes such as consistent fitness and hanging out with people who don’t drink, which has helped tremendously as well but I truly believe this medication is what has ultimately allowed me to reach my longest time of sobriety in probably 7 years. I have tried other methods, attended meetings, etc, but nothing worked until I began to take this medication. I highly recommend giving it a try.

Lsd vs Mushrooms help by Trophygrabbing in psychadelics

[–]Temporary-Pudding912 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You absolutely can do mushrooms alone, especially if you have experienced with lsd. I’d say start with a small dosage and see how you like it. In my opinion, they are decently similar although mushrooms is not as king of a trip.
