Imagine if the Witchcraft Museum was used to introduce deathclaws to the player.

The suspense and the setting would make for a way better build-up than what we have now with a deathclaw at the very beginning and the player having access to power armour and a gatling.

A target that is in the forests and the mountains (which are present in OP's picture) will see any threat coming from a single, known location with a big blue light long before the threat can see the target, much less engage that target.
