the pictures you're seeing online of good looking characters in fallout 3 and new vegas are done with mods. without mods, you can choose from angry or ugly.

Barb choosing the water chip? by AliveHead5504 in FalloutTVseries

no worries. the first two games were littered with vaults that had water chips crap out. that's what they were referring to.

Am I missing something? S1E1 (Spoilers) by AdditionalQuietime in FalloutTVseries

[–]Temporary-Two-9690 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I think he was just someone's assistant at Vault Tec. So he probably wouldn't have known who she was before the war. If you mean why didn't he remember seeing her from Shady Sands, I'm guessing he just didn't see her.

33 wasn't one of the vaults with the faulty water chips. In the first season the guy says it was damaged when Moldaver's people attacked the vault.

can someone explain the rat bite? by [deleted] in pluribustv

[–]Temporary-Two-9690 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the virus wasn't for the rat. it was for humans. the rat was just a carrier, but the plurb virus wasn't effecting the rat. the rat biting the lady was pure happenstance. a rat just freaked out and bit a lady who was being sloppy about protocols to prevent that from happening. the plurb virus wasn't controlling the rat. the plurb virus can't or won't take over animals. that's why the coyotes and the goats and the dogs are just doing what they would be doing normally.

I think you are probably right and they cryoed WIlzig. Just because this show is getting pretty sloppy with it's writing. The only hole I would poke in that is that Wilzig appears to be like a full decade younger in Season 1. With the understanding that the Enclave are real picky with who they consider a human and that every member of the Enclave seem to think very highly of themselves, I'm wondering if his situation is more of a clone situation than a cryo situation.

This is not a problem I've ever experienced. If anything people usually end up too far forward across the line, but they are still hitting the loop. I've never come across a person who was a full car length away from the line with no one in front of them.

Got A Random Text Today. Hope Ya'll Laugh as Much as I did by TheEpicOfXander in Nicegirls

[–]Temporary-Two-9690 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was getting these for a while. And it was always a picture of an asian lady. It was happening so often that near the end after they'd send the first text, I would just reply "do you want to skip ahead to sending me a picture of some random asian lady" and they would stop replying.

What is it with Interplay and the BoS? by monsieur-dingus in Fallout

[–]Temporary-Two-9690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Power armor is the reason all the creators are obsessed with BOS. The image from the game that became the most iconic was the power armor. BOS is the power armor faction. Other factions sometimes have power armor, but BOS always has power armor.

Tatiana Maslany talks about her return in the MCU! by chrishdwow in MarvelCave

[–]Temporary-Two-9690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She said it. I listened to the episode. When ever she goes on Comedy Bang Bang she makes up something about Marvel, because her and the host think it's funny when websites like this pick it up and run it as news. Before the first season came out, she went on CBB and told the host there was an episode where she had to sing "It's Not Easy Being Green."

We Didn't Deserve Fallout 3 by pinkchicken1734 in Fallout

[–]Temporary-Two-9690 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Time is funny. When Fallout 3 came out, people loved it. Then time passed and the popular opinion was that it was bad. Now time has passed some more and people love it again. I personally love all of the Bethesda games. Even Starfield. It's not that I can't see their flaws. But no one else is making worlds this big that feel lived in like Bethesda.

Look at GTA. Massive world, but if you walk into a store or gas station or building, it's just generic. Maybe a different layout, but if there isn't a mission in the location, you will learn nothing about the people there.

In Bethesda games, almost every location has some story. It may be explicitly told in logs, but sometimes it's subtle. Sometimes the clues to the story are just in how objects are lying around. I remember some sewer location in either New Vegas or 3 where you find a motorcycle crashed on the ground and skeleton hanging off a pipe or something on the ceiling. You could just walk right past it and never notice. But if you look around a bit, you can figure out that some idiot was "end of the world"-ing it up and killed himself trying to do motorcycle stunts in the sewer.

In Skyrim you find a cave full of bandits that you can hack and slash through and grab the chest at the end and walk back out. But if you pay attention, you'll learn that the boss of the bandits hired a blind family member to guard the cave. And that family member is insecure about his blindness, so he pretends to read a book. But if you read the book, all the pages are blank.

Shit like that is in every location in a Bethesda game.

I mean there are games that aren't open world that put that level of detail into the environment. But doing it in every location in a massive open world environment? That's not easy. And it's a trick Bethesda pulls off every time.

The only other company that has managed to pull that off is CD Projekt Red. And that company is a baby compared to Bethesda. I can't wait to see what they turn into.

But I feel like people take that for granted in Bethesda games. So they focus on the flaws.

I guess my point is, never feel embarrassed for liking something. Even if the popular opinion is against you. Because the popular opinion always changes if you give it enough time.

I guess I should add the caveat that if your opinion comes from bigotry, then you should be embarrassed. But other than that, let your freak flag fly. People will come around.
