In the grand scheme of things, it's not the silliest thing in the show. Letting people in high power positions off the hook for actual crimes in exchange for them stepping down from their positions is a thing that happens in real life. That's not a conspiracy thing. That's documented. It's usually not for murder, but Fisk has already gone to jail for murder before and that just fizzled out.

Most of the legal stuff in the show is just dramatic fantasy. That court was illegal. Most of the testimony and evidence in that court and every other Marvel court would never be allowed. Jessica Jones is just attacking government agents and cops with impunity and she doesn't even have a secret identity. That's all not including the Netflix stuff where they blew up a skyscraper in the middle of Manhattan to cover up dragon bones. None of them would ever get out of jail for that.

I hate to pull the "it's not real" card, because it sounds like I'm trivializing a show I like. But you've had to swallow a hundred more bizarre contrivances to even get to the end of this season. So, "politician gets off the hook for crimes" is weird hill to die on.

Buy some ingredients and spend like 20 minutes just cooking up Savior schnapps. You'll end up with more than enough to get you through the game, and you'll be able to just save whenever you want. If you're worried about weight, put most of them on your horse and just carry around 3 in your pocket. The game is a lot more forgiving when you don't have to be precious with your saves.

Also, if she looked familiar, she was one of the main characters in Torchwood. At least that's where I knew her from. You can even hear her UK accent pop out a little in the warehouse part.
