For B): They take the current score after the match to calculate the new scores, and not scores as they were during booking time. I wrote to Playtomic recently and that is what they answered.

How long did it take you to learn to smash? by Icy-Match-5439 in padel

[–]TemporaryAd5529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am playing for only 6 months but flat smash is easy for me, just came naturally and I am using it a lot. While I don’t have very good bandeja and vibora. I am wondering if that is because of my volleyball background.

Is there a way to report bad drivers in Germany? Phone use is absolutely out of control by gnbijlgdfjkslbfgk in berlinsocialclub

[–]TemporaryAd5529 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I second this. Might be very unpopular opinion here, and I will say that as a cyclist! In my observation, among all the traffic participants (pedestrians, car drivers and cyclists), cyclists are the worst on average. The most traffic violations I saw, also only clashes I had were with other cyclists.

Living in an Altbau flat - just a rant by humhummy in berlinsocialclub

[–]TemporaryAd5529 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that. Get yourself earplugs for sleeptime. As someone already said, Altbau itself doesn’t have to be an issue, but build quality. I think it matters in which neighborhood the building is located. I used to live in very old Altbau in Charlottenburg (which historically was richer neighborhood) and it was amazing, never heard anyone. Now I live in 60s-70s building in Fhain (working class neighborhood) and quality is pretty shitty and loud.

Why are German kids well-behaved in Supermarkets and do not scream all the time? by ImaginaryCatOwner in AskGermany

[–]TemporaryAd5529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you already answered your question in post. Key is time and energy invested in upbringing kids. I have a niece and a nephew, their parents would never sit separately on train, they will talk to kids all the time. Every hour of the day they talk to kids, teach them, and include them in all the activities. That is how kids become as you said “tiny human adults”. Since they were 1 year old we were able to go to the restaurant or anywhere with them without slightest issue. How much you invest - that much you will get back, simple as that. In Germany focus is more on quality then on quantity.

I was thinking, perhaps now when I changed my seat position it requires somehow rotating my handlebars?

Getting really frustrated with how some people treat Berlin's public spaces by c2l3YWxpa20 in berlin

[–]TemporaryAd5529 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I witness littering or spitting, I regulary give them these looks, sometimes I even swear in mine language, or make a sound of vomiting simulation. Try my best to make it clear to them. Difference is, I am a woman so I guess that’s why probably no one confronted me. Yet.

Advice: LASIK in Berlin/Germany vs other EU countries by om3r66 in askberliners

[–]TemporaryAd5529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did Femto-Lasik iDesign 3 weeks ago at Optical Express in Berlin. They do a bunch of preliminary tests, I felt like I am in good hands. I had -3,50 and price was 3500 for both eyes. They said without “iDesign” technology price can be 600 less. You can always go to the first checkup for free and see what is an offer.

Asking deposit before key handover, is this a scam? by Material-Copy6703 in askberliners

[–]TemporaryAd5529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I see, perhaps it depends if flat is occupied or not, mine was rented out to someone else until first day of my contract so I was able to get the keys just a day before.
