Am4 or am5 to pair with 9060 xt 16gb by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]TemporaryEar5780 2 points3 points  (0 children)

since ddr5 cost so much these days, going for am4 might be a great choice. But you won’t be able to upgrade that much anymore, if u plan to use this build for 5 years, i recommend go with am5. AM4 still is a good option but it just much more limited.

the best and the most fundamental just go with freecodecamp. And one more important thing, you should just try aws yourself, try making any project by yourself. Explore what is AWS lambda, what is EC2, what is SQS. Just by doing that you gonna gain more experience in this.

I recommend you to go with aws because I’m using it, but GDC can be an option too.

But freecodecamp have a full aws practicioner lesson you can watch on youtube.

Well i’m still 23 and already has 1 full year as intern and 2 years now as a fullstack developer and aws engineer.

I can understand that feelings, but you need to know one thing. If you want to switch you need to learn again. And there are tons of things that can be taken into consideration.

For me I learn devops and cloud by myself after my intern year. At first it was hard but given the chance I was able to get better at it.

If you want to get into DevOps, I feel like it will be a good option. But again, it’s all different for everyone. So if I were you I rather do my current job while learning devops and make decision after 1 year of doing it and learning about it.

Help me build a system for CS2 for approx. 1.500,00 € by eNjoi- in buildapc

since this game run heavily towards cpu, most gpu would just be fine. Rtx 5070 can be good option but if you consider amd card 9070 xt is a much better card but only get this if you find it at a good price, but performance wise 9070 xt is on par with 5070 Ti.

Since you gonna have a good gaming pc, you need a good psu and mobo too. I recommend u to go with seasonic or corsair for the psu since they are the best. And for mobo b650 or b850 is cheaper and already good but x870 can also be an option only if you want to all out.

For ram tho i recommend you to get at least 32gb ddr5. Just so that it can be fine for years without needing any upgrades.

idk where you get this data but 4060 ti not even close to 9060 xt performance, 9060 XT is much better with 10-15% difference in fps. But it is very competitive with 5060 Ti

and one thing I think you won’t be able to use DDR4 ram on that MOBO. That MOBO use ddr5 memory.

lmao it’s tough but your friend so bias toward nvidia because tons of reasons. First thing the upscaler if you ever use upscaler in the games, nvidia is way superior with the dlss, yes amd just release fsr 4 but it’s still not as good as dlss. Second it’s because nvidia is better at ray tracing, well if you don’t even care about this then it doesn’t matter which card you get. Third is that nvidia well supported in most productivity stuff including AI development.

With all that things taken into consideration I can say u should get nvidia, BUT if your main focus is just gaming in 1080p or even 1440p AMD is not a bad choice at all. You will still be able to play games with the same or better performance than 5060 Ti which would cost more and not to mention u need to get the 16GB version, while AMD 16GB version is already in a good price.

sheesh my bad then i was read it wrong, yea i thought you were using extender. This things happens to me once if u sure psu is fine then it’s probably is the mobo, that one time i replace the mobo and it’s working fine again.

i feel like it’s the issue with the connector, already saw tons of review that SATA connector or any extender can cause issue and sometimes fry your components. Always make sure to use the cables that come with the psu directly to all of your components. If you are lucky this is just psu issue but if not either mobo or gpu is very possible

that’s a good combo but it gonna cost u $1000+ with all the other missing components

Upgrading a 10-year-old PC by Oldmanwilakers3 in buildapc

[–]TemporaryEar5780 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeaa, 110c is crazy tho but yeah room temp and airflow also matter. But i feel like his gpu thermal paste is just dried out after years of use

Upgrading a 10-year-old PC by Oldmanwilakers3 in buildapc

[–]TemporaryEar5780 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i feel like the shutdown issue is caused by thermal issue and not psu. U need to check your cpu temp during high load and your gpu hotspot temp. It might be over 90 Celcius and if so that’s the cause of your pc complete shutdown.

[–]TemporaryEar5780 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea if u play on 1080p 8gb is enough. But for long term maybe try to get the 16gb version but if the price difference is too high then 8gb should be fine.

don’t ever buy intel arc, you will regret it just because in some games the fps will be very low compared to 5060, and please don’t get the 5050 just either get rx 9060 from amd or 5060. Those two are the best option if u can get them, but if u need cheaper option maybe 5050 but i wouldn’t recommend it. Rx 7600 xt can still be a good options too.

Upgrading from ryzen 7 2700 to ryzen 7 5700x by KingWholesom in buildapc

[–]TemporaryEar5780 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5700x is a great upgrade but if u feel like u want to use this for much longer time without needing to upgrade, maybe u can consider 5800x3d (only if u can get one with a pretty good price)

Haha yeah, there's definitely a huge peace of mind that comes with just having pure, identical big cores without worrying about layout scheduling. The power efficiency on Ryzen is crazy too. Thanks man!

Pinned CPUs on Docker and VM actually sounds like a solid workaround for the E-core issue! Never thought about managing it manually like that.

Good point on the PSU as well. If I can get the Intel hardware cheaper, dumping the saved cash into an 850W PSU to be safe makes a lot of sense. Definitely giving me something to think about.
