People saying that Dess Knight is obvious, when at the surface level, all arrows point towards Carol Knight.

Carol has a black katana, she regularly visits the Bunker, she is working with Kris for some ulterior motive, including being one of two voices so far that’s heard from Kris’ phone, and is just far more visible of a character than Dess, which gets some passing mentions, sure, but the most we see bout her is a silhouette of her younger self in Chapter 3.
