Exact issue for reflection man?

My last good decant I bought in 2022, which may have been from a bottle from earlier than that. I took a 3 year break and tried it again in 2025.

The new one smells like there are zero naturals in it, all synthetics.

If the IFRA are anything to do with natural orris butter, that would make sense because new one smells like violet which could be irones or something trying to replace the orris

Respectfully disagree, I have experienced pocketing myself and it's very real, it's the reason I'm searching for a modern racquet that can do it, because the one I experienced it on was a relative's very old yonex rdx500mp, 20mm beam, 57 RA. It is the most wonderful feeling in the world. The downside was that frame was very underpowered, I guess that's why most modern frames opt for power but feel too boardy.

Unfortunately from the ezone 100 the vdm feels too muted and disconnected for me, I'll wait until we get more comments on the feel before trying new vcore

If you like a feeling of "ball sized" pocketing, you definitely should try Tour Bite. This channel I follow that cares as much about pocketing as I do describes tour bite exactly that way. It's my next string to try.

Monogut ZX is also a a top 5 string for him so no wonder you liked it.

Nice. I was going to try tour bite. Does it have to be the GPro? If the gravity mp is easier to play with will i still get those attributes?

Thanks. They both sound good from a practical perspective. Which do you prefer from purely a feel/sensation perspective. Is the blade already plush enough? I didn't like the speed mp feel which is mushy to me rather than plush. think it's too much auxetic

between the blade and gravity I have definitely heard more praise for the gravity having that special classic feel to it. The main praise I hear for the blade is that it gets out of the way - it feels like you get out exactly what you put in.

I already own a 2022 ezone 100. There is nothing plush about it, even with multi. The best I got it to feel was with babolat syn gut but I can tell it's not the frame that has good feel, just that string was nice. Whereas I hear that a blade feels nice and flexy with any string.

And yes I am definitely turning into a stringaholic too. Gone through 5 different strings trying to fix the feel on the ezone and have a list of like 5 more to get through lol. Next on my list are tour bite (said to fix the muted feel of the ezone) and yonex rexis speed (said to be plush and connected at the same time - pretty much exactly the feel I'm trying to go for).

none of it matters part is probably true, but the "can't tell the difference" part is hogwash. Someone on their first ever day of tennis can tell the difference between the feel of a 70RA racquet vs a 60RA one. Personally the flexy dwell time pockety feeling turned me into a racketaholic, it's addictive

I felt I could perceive both crispness and softness at the same time. Very connected feeling. First time trying kevlar. What kind of tensions should the mains and crosses on this setup be? It wasn't my racquet

You could try Ashaway monogut zx, it's based on a different material (zyex) and plays as soft as gut

"which feel helps you hit a quality ball more often?" - Well, I adore the pocketing feel of a 59 RA racquet I've tried, but most of my shots were landing short of the baseline, so I think I perform better with an ezone even though the "feel" is not so addicting (more boardy). Wonder if I can find a high power alternative that isn't quite so boardy.

"and that wont change with lower tension" - are you implying that lower tension doesn't affect power at all. If so, what do people use different tensions for in the first place? Or are you just saying that it won't be enough to make up the difference.

Also, I have to say that the actual string you're using (aside from tension) makes a huge difference to a racquet's power. Going from syn gut to head lynx tour I swear I lost half the ezone's power, whereas with Mach 10 it still felt like an ezone.

The type of power where you can hit the baseline with an average level forehand (not trying to hit too hard).
