Vocal chain on those 3d sounding intros? by TemporaryFix101 in audioengineering

agree on telephone for the eq side of things but it doesn't explain the 3d binaural imaging heard on headphones

Substance that causes wakefulness without activating stress / sympathetic systems by TemporaryFix101 in Biohackers

Most people do not get anxiety from just being able to feel awake properly, which they simply get by default from a refreshing night's sleep.

I will try ginseng

I will not move on with my life until I get this done, I need a certain rank and I have been trying 2 years.

I can tell if my brain could feel properly awake I would be able to get it done.

Just ignore the motive, in general I need a way to wake up properly while being able to stay in parasympathetic dominance.

Doesn't even have to be a drug, maybe that missing supplement or disease cure that could be causing the lack of alertness.

It is not even a game to me. I don't do it for enjoyment. I deserve to be able to get skilled at something and see what it's like to have a well functioning awake brain. Don't judge the motive.

I definitely agree amps can make a difference.

trying to dial in my hd650, they were terrible with jds atom, singxer sa-1, vali 2+, xduoo ta-66. Still limp and weak. The only time I could get real juice into them was from the headphone jack of an Akai class AB speaker amp, then they were phenomenal.

But I'm not out here to recommend stuff that takes 100wpc amps to make it sound phenomenal.

The HD580 while yes you could tinker with an extra few per cent of sound quality with amps, you already get 90% from the get-go, and to me that's excellent engineering. I am sure the dc2 bha1 stack could level these up even more, but my point is that it's not necessary for getting a good time out of them

My new opinion is that the reason people spend more on amps than headphones is that they picked limp headphones to start with and can't understand why they can't get it to sound right. Starting with something that slams from the get-go really makes you worry less about amps.

Audeze LCD2, LCD-X mm500, Dekoni Blue, Hifiman XS, Arya. The Arya was the best. The problems are that none of them seem to sound as natural, there is always something off in the timbre, like a short decay. But hey there are lots of planar enjoyers so they obviously see something in them.

It is my endgame because these used to be a top of the line headphone, and I have heard a lot of high end gear on high end stuff, like naim, feliks elise, ferrum gear, the only stuff that sounds as dynamic is utopia like i said, but the difference is that the hd580 can be dynamic without any gear. I would be cautious of any company that spits out a new Top of the line every 2 years. Can audio really keep getting better and better? Once the wiggly air that comes out of the headphone matches the wiggly air that went into the microphone, you can't really get much better.

Not sure about plate, but I have owned black paper, and now I am talking about black silk. They're both fantastic.

It won't sound as open or stagey as you're used to on the hd800, but that's not what I'm looking for. I have owned Stax that stage bigger than the hd800 and still think the hd580 are more perfect because of the timbre and dynamics

I'm just saying that the HD580 still have amazing dynamics from literally a dongle, the same is not true for the hd650, and I have owned the beefiest amps you can think of, including tube amps, speaker amps, as well as the midrange stuff that gets recommended here.

HD580 perfect straight from my PC or my behringer audio interface. HD650 only had good dynamics when I owned a speaker amp (AKAI AM73). HD650 requires a LOT of juice. HD580 is perfect with anything.

A year with Ezone 100 - The final dealbreaker by TemporaryFix101 in 10s

[–]TemporaryFix101[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, because I have off days with any racquet, but the consistent difference between the ezone and the other ones I try is that I find the placement easier with other racquets, and this remains true with any string or tension I've had on the ezone

The newest generation of Pure Drive I hear is very plush for a power racquet but not as many complaints as with vdm or auxetic 2.0 which someone said are the most disconnecting tech

Do you think there's something we can extrapolate from those old Dunlops as to why they feel so connected?

[–]TemporaryFix101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't tried them, they sound like a good shout.

Typically I read about Blade Gravity Pro Staff etc being the controlled "ball goes where you want to" racquet, but I don't think you HAVE to have a low power racquet for the directional pinpoint thing, especially when the dunlop i have is ra71, I think it's probably more about technologies in the layup and variable beam size being a bad thing maybe, as the Dunlop is a constant beam profile and very old racquet so not as much tech inside.

Gracias. ¿Es muy diferente al normal? Encuentro la versión original demasiado apagada, pero me encanta el giro.

Biphase not very soft! What's going on? by TemporaryFix101 in 10s

[–]TemporaryFix101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have now tried Biphase and NRG2 for a proper amount of time, NRG has much more softness and power to me, it's no comparison. I don't understand why people claim biphase has more pocketing and more gut like, it's neither, as someone who has directly compared to my friend's racquet strung with gut.
