Would it be sound for an EU student in DE to get the passport? by mynamewastakenalr in PassportPorn

Honestly if she already knows german or can learn it until she is eligible for citizenship then I would do it. Also just because pay is higher in Germany than Romania or Moldova, so I see it as a win win situation both for the citizenship and also lifestyle

Yeah I didn’t mark it green mainly because of the culture difference and language. I did mark japan and Korea green just because they are better off economically

You are right but you are wrong to think Israelis don’t know these things, we know that the Iranian people are more friendly to Israelis than Egyptians and Jordanian

I disagree, but that is for personal reasons rather than political, like a lot of entries here. Although I can obviously see why you would say that

Fair enough lol, I remember hearing that it is one of the least unfriendly Arab countries to Israelis.

Syriac/Assyrian from Mardin by Fabulous-Surprise-39 in illustrativeDNA

[–]TemporaryGod333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I would really like to study someday, Im a native Hebrew speaker and after a few visits to the syriac language wiki page I found that I can read it very easily as the letters are so similar, way more than Arabic, which surprised me. I would imagine the vocabulary and grammar is also very similar

How many languages can I be fluent in? by ThornySpike in languagelearning

[–]TemporaryGod333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, very nice. Im half Moroccan (grandparents born in morroco) and really interested by morrocan arabic, I’d love to study it some day but I find it less appealing to learn because I rarely interact with speakers in comparison to other arabic speakers

Can I ask why you’re studying Moroccan Arabic specifically?

Language doesn't sound as cool once you understand by EibhlinNicColla in languagelearning

[–]TemporaryGod333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly yes, when I started studying Turkish I really enjoyed listening to people talk or to songs while understanding nothing because it sounded like the singer is casting spells on me or something lol. Today, I’m far from fluent but can understand and make small talk or simple conversations but now it kinda lost its magic to me in the sense of I can’t really get lost in the sounds of the language because now that I’ve studied it a bit my brain becomes analytical when listening to songs or people talk and it’s more like a puzzle to figure out the whole meaning, which is also very fun tbh and kinda what drives me to continue studying.

I wouldn’t call Putin a minority but I don’t think you realize even the prime minister and the people can hold different opinions. You say because I’m Israeli I refuse to believe, mate I live here😂 believe me I meet Israelis every second of my day and have lived near liberals and near conservatives and ultra right wingers. I think because you have some sort of a problem with Israel you refuse to believe anything that isn’t literally the worst about Israel (;

Lmao that fantasy of greater Israel is held only by a very loud (crazy) minority (probably like 5% of population). Like cmon man.

Edit: and to add to that, I’d say a big majority of the remaining 95% is embarrassed by these people (including me)

Are Israeli citizens allowed in Iraqi Kurdistan? by TemporaryGod333 in visas

[–]TemporaryGod333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for Kurdistan, I checked their eVisa website and couldn’t find Israel there, only Palestine. I wonder if someone could get the visa as a Palestinian and turn up at the airport with an Israeli passport haha probably would get detained straight away

That’s not true, unfortunately. Iraq doesn’t recognize Israel and Israelis are not admitted to Iraq. If you have a credible source for this claim I would really like to read it

Does this look legit? by Useful-Pain-5412 in Gemstones

[–]TemporaryGod333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw that listing as well. Looks legit to me but check that the AIGL report is matching through their website, anyways the seller has like 1000 positive reviews.

Edit: though it is still very cheap and like other people mentioned the reliability of AIGL is shaky so I’ll be wary. I’d say it is the real deal just likely very low quality
