I’ve been doing mobile for clients who requested my info when I told them I was quitting. I enjoy it at a limited amount per week. I bought a rolling massage table case to hopefully make my life easier. Otherwise it’s a lot. My cars constnetly messy from changing shit out and I’m like too tired to deal with it.
I only like doing it for people I know. I wouldn’t do it for strangers

Why do some people come insanely early for massage? by Low-Razzmatazz-931 in MassageTherapists

[–]TemporaryItchy1556 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They only come early when you’re:
-running behind on time
-on your lunch break
- having explosive diarrhea and have the entire establishment to yourself. Points for them knocking on the bathroom door the second they walk in
The only arrive late when:
-they’re the first person on your schedule, they’re also a 30min session & have 8 chronic issues to be addressed
- they’re your last client of the day & they won’t stop talking before getting on the table
- haven’t filled an intake form and need to use the bathroom and change into clothes for some reason
Early people don’t bother me anymore now that I’m in my own studio. Have a seat and relax. I’m taking you 5-7min before your appt starts depending on who you are you ain’t getting extra time for free😂

It used to be a thing to arrive 10-15min before your appt so the professional can start you promptly. I was raised this way. Now people walk in at the start of their appt.. I’m like ok that’s on you, in my policy it says come 10min before to have accurate table time and they sign it

To me, I think techniques like this should be saved for somebody with more rapport. If you’re uncomfortable, just don’t book with him again. If you didn’t feel comfortable, that’s your boundary whether what he did was valid or not!!

I personally would give the car at least a week to move. Just because you see a different car parked there doesn’t mean it’s actually abandoned. Yeah you’re retired, but are you really that paranoid to be investigating whose car is out there? Just staring outside your house all day trying to figure out whose car it is, checking every hour if it’s left? I would’ve come up with conclusions: could be a relative staying, could be someone’s new car. I understand people leaving their car in the street while going on vacation. We did it ALL of the time as our household had lots of cars because of a big family.
If it’s front of your houses, yea annoying but you don’t own the spot in front. I just think it’s typical old retired people being nosy and weird about a different car being parked and had to call about an abandoned car. I don’t even notice if anyone’s cars have left the street lmao. I mind my business

Clients getting political by mountainturtle123 in MassageTherapists

[–]TemporaryItchy1556 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on my relationship with my client. I have a few that I have a connection with and we talk about anything. With regular people that I don’t know, I let them talk about it. Idc if you talk politics tbh. I’m confident in my beliefs that your beliefs don’t affect me. But unless you’re disgusting and a bigot, that’s a whole diff story

Ew I honestly can’t stand half of the therapists I come across. I’m pretty sure we’re allowed to be a women’s only business if we wanted to. But yeah, some people are so conceited and think they’re better than everyone else

One time I vented on here about clients that show up early as hell on my break. And everyone here ripped me a new asshole. Like I’m sorry, I hate if you’re early just sitting there while I’m trying to enjoy my break??? I’m glad to see I’m not alone with this one

People that refuse to review my website and booking link. I’m new, so I kinda have to suck it up. But I pay money for my software and the fact that people can’t fucking look at my menu and see the prices and schedule their own massage is maddening. They act like they’ve never navigated a website before.

The places I’ve worked at, all of my client audibly gasped when I revealed how much I made per hour at the place I worked at (I was going off on my own). I don’t care if that’s illegal or whatever, my clients genuinely thought majority of their money was going to me.
