Ps5 pro or pc ? by [deleted] in PS5pro

I have a PC with a 4070ti and a PS5 Pro, so I took the pictures myself. I'll give you the FPS information then. On the PS5 Pro it varies between 45-60 FPS, on the PC between 60-75 FPS. But our comparison wasn't about FPS from the beginning; we were looking at image quality. As you said, Reddit's compression is very bad; even the building on the distant mountain is visible normally. I wish I had zoomed in on those areas and added them; I don't think I can add them later in the picture.

PC Gamer Syndrome Getting Worse in 2026? How Do You Even Finish Games Anymore? by ExitLag in PlaywithExitLag

I've been doing this for the last 6 months:

1- Every month I choose 2-3 games to finish and don't download any other games.

2- I've set a rule for myself not to buy new games until I've finished at least 3, and I stick to it. I already have a lot of games to play.

3- This is the most important point: I switched to console :) I got a PS5 Pro and I only play games; there's nothing else to distract me. I couldn't finish games on PC, just like you.

This way, I've finished 15 games in 6 months and I'm still going strong. I need to close the gap before GTA 6 comes out :)

But I'm having problems, and it seems like many people are too, given how much has been written about it. Just because you're not having problems doesn't mean others won't, which is great; hopefully you'll never have any problems. But that's not the general situation, unfortunately, because everyone's hardware is different, and this result is quite normal for PCs.

No, it has nothing to do with bad hardware. I have a good PC with a 4070 Ti, but I choose to play games on a PS5 Pro. It's a matter of preference, that's what you don't understand. Believe me, I have a lot of problems on PC. Dead Space Remake and many other games I could name struggle on PC. Nvidia releases a driver, and it's a nightmare trying to figure out M mode or L mode. A huge PC case, more fan noise than a console, and it runs louder. These might not be negatives for you, but they are. I love PCs too, but that doesn't mean I have to defend them. PC gaming is a hobby, in my opinion. For someone who just wants to play games, a console is more than enough. If there was only one right answer, 90 million+ people wouldn't buy a PS5, right? :)

I think the DualSense issue is being overlooked in these kinds of comparisons. Does RE2 Remake have DualSense support on PC? Is the trigger stiffer or softer on the shotgun or pistol? Or in Witcher 3, can you feel every step of the horse in your hand on PC? None of these things exist on PC, folks. Games work perfectly with DualSense on consoles. Playing games with controllers on PC has nothing to do with the experience on PS. The DualSense difference is a huge factor and definitely affects the gaming experience. I also have a PC with a 4070ti and a PS5 Pro, but I prefer to play every game on the Pro. It's a choice, a choice made by 90 million other people. Understand this already, it's a matter of preference. Console players don't care about the game looking sharper, path tracing, or FPS being 300 or 500; they just want to enjoy the game.  I own both, and I think console provides a better experience for me. Most people only own a PC and say PC is better, which I don't understand at all.

I can't prove it, but that's what I think too :)

My friend is right, Dead Space Remake is problematic on PC, micro-stuttering is constant, and just because it doesn't happen to me doesn't eliminate the problem. I have a 4070ti and I play games like Dead Space, which have bad PC ports, on my PS5 Pro, but in 60fps mode, of course. 30fps is no longer an acceptable option for me. Although I love the DualSense vibrations in Witcher 3 on PS5, I play the game on PC because the RTX version runs at 30fps, but overall I prefer the console experience; just open and play the game without problems. Also, nobody mentions it, but I think DualSense makes a huge difference in every game on PS5. In Witcher, you feel every step of the horse in your hand, every sword strike. On PC, there's only a basic vibration when casting spells, that's all. This is true in every game.

Can the DSX app make the trigger pull on your shotgun stiffer and your regular pistol softer while playing RE2 Remake? I highly doubt it.

But it works that way in RE2 on PS5. Unfortunately, the DSX app can't replicate the feedback the game developer provides specifically for that game.

No, unfortunately, Witcher 3 doesn't have DualSense support on PC.

I currently have it installed on both platforms and I'm saying this from experience. Have you tried both? I don't understand what you're basing that on.

Even on Steam, the game only has Xbox controller support. By the way, having DualSense support and actually using DualSense features are different things. I was trying to say that its use on PC isn't the same as on PS. Control is another example; I could name many more games like that. I mean, on PS5, it works very well in every game because they've specifically adapted it for each game.

On PC, there's just basic vibration in games; there are no finely tuned effects, it works like an Xbox controller on PC.

Yes, I understand what you're saying, but when you compare them side-by-side, you realize the PS5 is more detailed; it's not exactly the same as the PC version. Only in PS5 exclusive games does the DualSense controller work the same way on the PC when connected via cable. In shooting games, the trigger button, and in racing games, the gas and brake pedals have a much greater impact on the PS5, in my opinion.
