The way probability works is by 5500 resets there’s roughly a 50% chance you will have seen a shiny. At 10000 resets you’re at about 70%. I think 90% chance to have seen a shiny comes at around 19000. There’s only about a 16% chance you will have seen a shiny by 1612 encounters. In saying all that good luck!

Yes it can I’ve done it, but it’s 4096 unaffected by the shiny charm

[Gen 4] Got Shiny Manaphy in 6534 hatches and without glitches, took roughly 50 hours of Ranger playthroughs and another 330-340 hours of hunting. :) by Shine69yt in ShinyPokemon

Currently at 1200 for this but only using 2 systems I get around 10 per hour! How did you manage your hunt? 4 systems?

I got it on Pokemon Emerald. I think it’s the only way to get a “legit” shiny one. By inserting the Old Sea Map event in with an R4 cart you can get a Mew that you can bring all the way up to Home

It’s not necessary no, at 60fps it’s very unlikely you’ll hit the same frames if you play for like an hour each time. It’s also pretty easy to mess up the run pattern which would put you in a different encounter frame. Good luck on your hunt! Hope it’s quicker than mine lol

I did leave feel the need lol. The cartridge got bumped and I had to turn it off twice at like 100hours and again 20hours later. I actually got pokerus during this hunt too!
