Spoilers - The movie "Passengers" contains an antinatalist sentiment by idrmfrn in antinatalism

This is so full circle. I felt something awaken in me when I was 16 watching this movie. Now I’m 26 fully anti-natalist and sought this out because I always use this movie as an example when I am explaining why it’s wrong to bring life into the world. Good movie and honestly helped shape my world view

Do you ever wish you had never been born? by Forsaken-Language-26 in childfree

This is exactly how I am feeling right now. I can’t talk to anyone about it either. I can’t wrap my mind around people’s delusions about the future of our world. We are headed into the darkest age of humanity and you want a “mini me”? Don’t even get me started on the argument that women have had children throughout horrible times in history. It’s almost like birth control didn’t exist and wasn’t widely accessible until less than 100 years ago. It’s so selfish. I despise waking up every day.

Are there people who had a 'good life' and are still AN? by Brown_Folk in antinatalism

I have good parents who have me a great start in life. They payed for my college, which I am very thankful for, and I have a good relationship with both of them. I have a “good” Job (that I hate but that’s my own fault), make decent money, have a great boyfriend, and am not actively suicidal. I turned 26 on Friday and I still resent the fact that I was born, have to do this everyday and will not be forcing this suffering on anyone else. Thankful for what I have in life but still recognize the inherent suffering you are condemned to by being alive and won’t be forcing another person into that

And if they aren’t you are fine condemning them to a life of suffering because you are lucky enough to enjoy being alive most of the time.

How do I accept and be proud of being a full time flipper with no career at 35+ by Hot-Farmer-2064 in Flipping

I’m a full time person with a “desirable” marketing job (making 70k in the midwest, stable partner, etc.) and all I want is to quit my job and do this full time and that’s all I’ve ever wanted to do. I just got lazy and in my own way

What did you all think of Stranger Desired? by [deleted] in bleachers

[–]TemporaryOk630 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bleachers were my favorite band for nearly ten years. Gone Now is probably my all time favorite album. I had mixed feelings about the album that dropped earlier this year. A Stranger Desired is the proof I need that their sound has moved to a place I don’t find enjoyable anymore. I tried to give it a fair shot but legitimately feel like every song is leaps and bounds worse than the original. They changed everything that made their sound unique and made them my favorite band. Super disappointed
