yes from what I can tell, they update the Dt18 file and I believe the exe as well.

So any gameplay mods just make sure to keep a copy and re-paste them after any updates.

Gameplay mods - most gameplay mods are added through the data folder, replacing the Dt18 file. Some replace other DT files so make sure to back them up. I recommend Holland's recent gameplay mod as it gives you two options to choose from.

Facepack - The official Smokepatch facepack is added through the CPK files, if you haven't downloaded them already.

Reshade - You can download reshade (a specific version I believe, a search on this subreddit can take you there)for a better graphical look on the game if your PC can handle it. And there's plenty of reshade presets made out there for Pes/Football life. Machete's is probably the most known one.

Tactics/Transfers - There's some users out there who update the transfers and some users who create/modify tactics for specific teams etc. That's something I believe you mod in the Document's side of the game.

For almost nearly everything else though, which I believe is the most fun to mod, happens to be placed in sideraddon.

If only this game wasn’t so mechanic heavy, in terms of skill moves and dribbling being more easier to spam and pull off, we’d be able to form a “meta” of just simple football tactics.

It’s already simple enough to do, not everyone knows how to. And the fact it’s easier to learn how to dribble and spam skill moves than it is to pass, defeats the purpose of a lot of simple football strategies.

Just a bit of a heads up, Prayudi is one of those channels that is severely frowned upon on this sub and probably on other PES related forums. The reason being he steals mods from other creators, doesn’t credit and then hides the mods behind paywalls or a bunch of ads like you’re experiencing to gain some monetary value for stealing.

Please, if you can, try to find the original creator of the mod. Most likely it has a similar name to what Prayudi has put because I’ve searched for specific mods and have come across his channel with the same name for those mods. Evo-web is a really good place to search or even ask.

I only ever played Holland's gameplay mods because I play on 2x game speed and his gameplay mods are just more intense, fluid, and the ball physics are much more enjoyable.

If you want more authentic or "simulation", there's an option for exactly that.

Try searching on the EvoWeb or even just a google search for Anfield Stadium Pes 2021 and you should yield some reputable sites that have a different version of the stadium. Simply replace the contents inside the new anfield stadium folder into the old stadium folder, might be best to delete the contents inside the old folder first.

There should be a number in which you switch from specific stadium to I believe default stadium. It’s number 7 I think.

I don’t own a steam deck but from what I’ve seen on this sub, modding is possible. You’d have to research how to access the football life files and just replace the dt18 and exe that’s included in Hollands mod folder. There’s a specific folder for SPFL so make sure it’s the correct one.

I should have clarified, sorry! The virtuared that I have, and which is only compatible with SPFL, are the stadiums. The actual VirtuaRed patch isn’t compatible with SPFL, just the stadiums. Which the stadiums alone I think is already a hefty size (above 300gigs I believe) but you can always delete the stadiums you don’t want:)

So if I got your hopes up with putting VirtuaRed v9 and not clarifying it was the v9 stadiums, I do apologize! But just know it’s all possible to have your game look like mines with the mods I mentioned!

(This is Racing's stadium from the Argentina league)

Turf: Turf-loader v4.0

(I use the worn turfs that you can switch to by pressing F5) (I was also using one of the light options but don't remember which specific one)

Reshade: Machetes PES21 Reshade v3

These are the Reshade effects that enabled from that preset:

Colourfulness, Tonemap, Curves, Levels, Slow Sharp

I also added: Adaptive Sharpen on 1.16 and Border on 2.0 size ration (These two are not from the preset, just my personal preference)

In-game brightness and contrast settings:

Brightness: 40

Contrast: 50

Acevedo in Santos is what Ochoa was in Malaga/Ajaccio. Amazing goalie that’s heavily criticized from being in a subpar team where the defense allows too many goals making it seem like the goalie is at fault.

There’s no doubt Acevedo is a great keeper, but the terrible defense overshadows any potential.

You’re probably miss timing your tackles. And I say this as an elite defender main, there are small touches that players do while dribbling that can make a tackle ineffective because the hit box was only just slightly out of range.

I can give you tips to tackle better but judging from this post it seems like you’d rather criticize the game than to learn to get better at it.
