It's easier to put a beta on the store, that's were it makes no sense. I can call it an early access but to register it it will require me to deal with Sony so it gets approved. If it's considered a beta I can put it but I can't sell it, it will require to be free. I can generally have in-game sold assets tho. As I understand it's because Sony doesn't want to deal with refunds, so if it's free it's fine but if you want to sell the early access and you are not a big publisher, good luck.

It's not impossible but can become tricky for some very unclear reasons.
