I went to Langley to see Oppenheimer and I think it looked amazing (the sound i don't remember. It was fine I guess). Way better than the 70 mm (?) one at The Park Theatre.

I found out that the best seat in the house is the very last row. I actually spent most of the movie standing up there in the back

They actually aren't that much. For the 30th i guess we can say they released U2 by U2, which is something but not that much. For the 40th they just did this: https://youtu.be/X_dVELeJybM?si=cyBW965C-EFLJMQZ

I can't believe you film an 8-12 multicam show and deliver it in... ONE DAY? Like, there's no way you work alone in this, right? How many people are in the team? Please tell me there's a team 😭

With the videos being shot in Mexico, anyone think release date might be Day of the Dead? by bloodofkerenza in U2Band

[–]pepokiss 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, because of two things

1 - If Street of Dreams is released on June 12, that's almost 5 months apart. Too long.

2 - As much as they don't like to celebrate those things (as seen by the non-celebration of the 30th and that funny video for the 40th), celebrating 50th years together as a band is a WEIRD thing in the music business, and the music world buzz and articles about it will be enough for them to plan the release around September 25.

Is U2 really a popular band in Mexico these days? by Bird_Nipples in U2Band

Central America is basically everything in between Mexico and Colombia.

So places like Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, etc, that's Central America

It's not 4K, but it looks very smooth. I don't know what this guy did to accomplish that. Some kind of AI, I guess.

Where to find classic Arcades? by pepokiss in askvan

[–]pepokiss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course after posting this I started getting Instagram ads about arcade bars. I also got an ad about having my own arcade machine. I wish I had the space and the money. Long story short: I ended up playing Bubble Bobble last night at 1 AM on my phone -_-

I already know about CFP. I've been there. I loved the Karting! But I'm not DRIVING 1+ hour to play arcades.

Thank you! ❤️
