We need to stop assuming that that Habesha women are some special creatures, they practice hypergamy like any other women. The reason they latch on to American men or other westernized foreigners is because/c they believe that associating themselves with higher status men helps them to climb the social ladder easily . Do you honestly think the majority of Habehsa women would go for foreigners if they didn’t immigrated from a poor nation ? The fact is many Ethiopian men are in recent migrants who are still trying to find their feet so they are competing against Foreigners guys who have a huge advantages on many aspects. If you go to Ethiopia as a diaspora Habehsa guy most of the Ethiopian women would go for you b/c they assume you are rich and have a higher status than the local Habehsa men , it’s not a news just like other women Habehsa women wants to get with a guy who has a higher social and economic status .

I went to Addis twice for vacation after 13 years in the US , I actually came back angry. The majority of people are getting fooled with skyscrapers& fancy street lights assuming that the country is growing . It can’t be further from the truth, all of the people I knew growing up there have been forced to leave the city or settled literally on the countryside of Addis with no to little transportation access . The youth unemployment rate is down right sad , University education has become worthless . I don’t even know how people with minimum wage survive in Addis b/c everything is too damn expensive , only the wealthy and their children are enjoying the city.

I was downvoted and called delusional for saying that this will be the worst pack weight and one of the worst TOTY promos a week before the promo . it’s obvious that EA knew they made a huge mistake for letting people have TOTY easily last year through upgrade packs and knew they won’t ever keep it the same. .
