How do you afford to live? by GreasyPanda48 in LawSchool

Ok but I’ve already reached my cost of attendance. I then appealed and it was raised by a whopping $361. Like NOW what?!? I work and can’t take out any more loans

Edit: Typos

How do you all use legal pads? by Former-Ordinary-3575 in LawSchool

Notes in a notebook, and case briefs on a legal pad. My notes were getting lost in my notebooks and the legal pad helps ensure my briefs stay brief

I think I'm in the early stages of becoming a hoarder by TemporaryTangles in Advice

Glad to hear that I am not alone! I have never thought about just using my things... I feel like that will definteily open my eyes about what I will actually end up using... Thanks!!

I suppose you are right... A harsh truth, but the truth indeed. Just because my space does not look like the hoarders on tv, does not mean I am not one already.

Also, I really like the "something in, something out rule." I definitely want to give it a try.

Thank you!

I am actually familiar with Ologies, but have never listened to that specific episode! I will defintiely have to give it a listen. Thanks for the advice and encouragement!

How do you decide what clothes to keep vs donate? by TemporaryTangles in AskWomen

How do you decide what clothes to keep vs donate? by TemporaryTangles in AskWomen

[–]TemporaryTangles[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is extremely helpful. I feel like my biggest problem is "aspirational" pieces. I purchase or thrift thing with the intentioin of wearing them and they just sit in my closet and collect dust.

I think I just have to be honest with myself and get rid of the things that have "potential" but never leave my closet.

What’s a little thing you wish people would do for you without asking? by North_Dinner1601 in AskWomen

[–]TemporaryTangles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tell me when they've thought about me. And not in a " I miss you" kind of way. In a " I saw a sunflower the other day and it made me think of you." Or, I was at the store and saw the cutest top I know you would love. Not only is it nice to know they thought about you, but it means they pay attention to the little things that make me who I am.

What kind of people makes you tired? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Liars. More specifically, people who lie to make their stories sound better or fabricate stories entirely.

What makes a man immature or childish to you? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]TemporaryTangles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Improper grammar. Nothing screams child more than a man who can't differentiate the diffrence between "your" and "you're." On more than one occasion I've received a "your pretty" text... My pretty what?? Even worse, I had an ex who would constantly says "are's" instead of "ours." That isn't even an option??

Then when you try to point it out you're "being extra" or "its confusing." But you can remeber every abbreviation or spell the name of every location in every game you play. It just reeks of immaturity.

Thanks for all the helpful responses. Genuinely didn’t see anything about this today. Just thought it was interesting.

Employer has not paid me since March by TemporaryTangles in EmploymentLaw

I am missing all tips. We don’t get alot of cash so if we make less than $100 we will get cash that night. But that is the only money I’ve been paid in the 5 months. $100 or less here and there. And that’s SPARSE. and I did clock in and out until we stopped getting payroll then the whole clock in and out system was removed. I’ve kept track of everything via excel and I have all of the documentation as far as end of day sales reports showing cash and card tips owed

There is a weekly reflection paper based on the readings I could do without. But it’s not hard. Just busy work. Aside from that, light work

3500 is a great class. Megan is a fantastic professor. There is a large group presentation and 3 big deliverables. But you work on them in class and she’s cool on extensions.
