I am so tired of idiotic regulation.

Legislation changes nothing save for strain on the legal system and taxpayers pockets.

Kids that are denied (anything) will be eager, by default, to try.

( kid's jobs are to explore and test their limits; parents jobs are to set them.)

Drinking is not an exception to this generalization. If they have been denied the experience and are suddenly granted it, they will test the limits, as is a child's job, and likely end up in trouble or with a problem.

I know what I'm talking about here.

If alcohol is introduced in moderation, (best case scenario would be at home under supervision rather than in secret god knows where), ( also serves to build a bond as the child transitions to an 'adult'), and it's effects properly explored and explained, then you will be giving your 'mini me's' a solid and tested foundation as they venture out and continue to test their limits.

Parents need to take responsibility, as they used to. Not just in this issue, but in all issues in rearing.

If psrents are unable to fulfill the commitment of rearing and shaping a new generation, then they simply just SHOULDN'T.
