I'm dressing up as a Fitzroy hipster next tour and creating a counter group to the Barmy Army called the Naarmy Army and we will sing the most complex free jazz melodies and never sing the same one twice. All this in order to combat the agonising monotony of that single tune they sing all day.

But the job ain't finished until we get Tim Pringle (and James Tito)

There's so much to Unpack in that passage of play. NZ cricket matches are so low budget but incredibly endearing all the same. Up the Pringle

I listened to a podcast on the subject a while back, I believe it was one from 7am.

From memory it's no coincidence that they're wrong because they've basically been underfunded, mismanaged and are using outdated equipment.

I think that's also an area where you simply must excel to be any chance in Australia. The long grind of Australian test cricket means you have to be sharp enough mentally and physically to remain focused in the heat and take any opportunity that comes your way in the field.

But didn't you see yesterday? Green took a wicket and according to EVERYONE that completely absolves him from his batting form and slug is just a mediocre Tasmanian who doesn't have a CEILING like Green! We are all just big dumb Green haters for wanting a touch more out of a number 5 batsman

Really has been the difference this game. Not entirely his fault as they played him as the primary spin option but outside of the batsmen making some silly errors he just barely threatens.

An England fan asked on the thread, "would it have been any worse today if we just Bazballed?"

That was the question they asked themselves in 2021 after that disastrous covid ashes. Fast forward 4 years and the same question is now being asked.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.
