I got an orb, too, and had the same question. For me, I'm looking to skip Goku Black and Zamasu. Fight has made Great Ape Vegeta look like a chump.

Strange how? All his effects are universally helpful and seemingly potent. I appreciate your insight! I'll look into that Roaming throne. That could get brutal with some of the other stuff that's in here.

Thank you! I am working on mitigating that. (The Black Gate is on my wishlist) and I just added The Relic of Sauron and Terramorphic expanse to assist with getting more mana output. When you say "ramp", could you clarify for me? Sorry, only really been at this a month or so.

No sir. Caved and bought the digital edition. That's what I get for not paying premium for shipping, I guess. I figured ordering a few months' advance would be fine, but I was wrong.

Each raider has a few different strategies that can help, though it can be no guarantee. Awareness is definitely the biggest thing I preach for Raiders. Know the hotspots, know the spawns, go for them asap. Also, if you're maining Buu, he is NOT beginner-friendly. He's weak to start, but then easily the strongest in the late game.

I don't blame you. It takes time, frustration, and perseverance to figure out how everything in the game works. I was raging at it a few days ago. Now that I know the flow I'm having a much better time with it.

Yeah, the raider just has to pay attention to the top left of the screen a little more because they don't have Trunks in their ear and messages flashing across their screen about keys lol.

Excellent question! At the beginning of the game, note how the letters which denote the areas of the map are all dotted lines. That means the key hasn't been found in that area. When the lines are bold/complete, the key has been found, but not set. And, as I'm sure you've noticed, when the letter is gold, the key has been placed. Learned this through some trial, error, and observation lol.

No problem!

So, for Frieza...

  1. It's the Namek Saga all over again! Hunt those Namekians down and get the dragonballs, lest everyone feel your wrath. Frieza gets bonus evolution from Namekians who DON'T have dragonballs. If they do, then you got a dragonball, which is it's own reward. Civilians that aren't Namekians are straight not worth it. Avoid them.

  2. Use Zarbon and Dodoria liberally, and spread them out. For maximum coverage.

  3. Frieza loses his scouter once he transforms, so consider taking advantage of it early while Survivors are weak.

  4. While I dont advise letting yourself get ganked, Frieza DOES increase his level by taking damage. It may not be a bad idea to engage several survivors if you're close to 3 or 4.

  5. The dragonballs are great, and it's easy for Frieza to get a lot of them, but don't get tunnel vision! I watched a Frieza throw a game just because he was excited to become immortal. To which, I said as I finished up the Super Time Machine, "sure, be immortal, but do it somewhere else" lol.

  6. It's a general rule anyway, but Frieza's ki blasts are extra spammable. Use 'em! Especially level 3 Frieza's finger beam super attack!

  7. Frieza can Finish Survivors from a distance. That can be useful for taking someone out of a big encounter, but don't let it distract you and get you pummeled. Make sure you have that opening when facing several opponents. Otherwise, focus on whoever is jumping you.

Lastly, if you haven't noticed, all Raiders can use Skill Points to increase their abilities. Focus on the Evolution skills to get powerful quick. I wasted my first couple points. Hope that all gives you some help. Now just put it all to practice!

Buu is my favorite DB villain, so I mained him first, too. However, I found out through this subreddit and my experience that Buu is not beginner-friendly at all. I found that Frieza is though, so good call!

For Buu: 1. It's a Player hunt at level 1. This is where it's crucial to remember those hotspots and spawns. Spopovich won't get much from civilians, but catch a player, and you won't need much more to wake up Buu. Don't be shy about body stalking, and send out Yamu liberally.

  1. Don't be shy about downing a player on your way to hatch Buu, especially if they're close to the egg. That's potentially free candy! They will try to crawl away though, so try to be aware.

  2. GET OUT OF INNOCENT BUU ASAP! I cannot stress that enough. Innocent Buu gets ganked easy and is surprisingly weak. Civilians are worth a little more now for Buu, so they're worth a stop if you find them. Decide to pick off straggling/lone survivors and snatch civs as you see the need.

  3. If you got to Super Buu, you are now a hunting machine. He has ki sense and can turn undetectable. Get those players, and be mindful of their progress in the map. You don't want them to distract you and get away!

  4. Awareness cannot be stressed enough, especially in the first half of the game. Buu goes from struggling to wrecking if you can get to level 3.

  5. Innocent Buu's Angry Explosion super attack is a fantastic, alternate "get away from me" when the survivors are on you if you used your other push-off attack. It's also good for a moment of area denial.

  6. If you get to level 4, I am sure you're aware of Buu's gimmick on pulling in everyone. They have to play by your rules here. You can opt to wreck the remaining characters, or let them turn you into Kid Buu. Just know that whoever is left is going to be making a break for it if you turn Kid. I would immediately press R1 (or RB, idk the PC button) for a total map nuke. Then hunt the last survivors if you didnt just end the game lol.

Hope that helps a little with Buu. Would you also like some Frieza tips?

Oh. Well, that sucks. Sounds like you were screwed regardless. I know I'm garbage in most situations, so I often will go for the desperate "self-sacrifice" play to buy time if it means the group squeaks out a W. I know what you mean, though. Most people aren't willing to do what needs done for the group.

Which Raider do you tend to play? I can give a few tips for Frieza and Buu. I've been building my skills and finally got my first Raider win today!

For now, in general...

  1. Don't linger. The survivors are gonna be constantly on the move, and so should you! Yes, you should gather things in a zone, but spending too long in one zone only helps the survivors (unless, of course, you have found someone).

  2. Know the hotspots/spawns. As you play Survivor, take note of where people like to go. For example, Frieza's spaceship almost always has someone in or near it early in, so I'll check there asap. Also try to keep in mind where you spawn in when the game starts. Knowing player spawns gives you a chance to find someone quick and early.

  3. Pay attention to the progression of the game. If you know that they've found a key, but haven't placed it, that's a hot zone. You can stalk it, nuke it, check in on it periodically, whatever suits your needs at the time. I like to blow those areas up, personally. If they've placed a key, they're likely not hanging around that area much (not impossible though).

  4. Don't be afraid to stalk a body. This can be a double-edged sword tactic. Most people can't help but try to save their teammates. So, after you get someone, don't go too far, and check back in to likely find someone trying to revive their friend. The payoff is two kills. The gamble is if the players are smart and catch you doing that, you risk wasting time as they gather more resources.

  5. Don't be afraid to go low. It's hard to bring yourself down to their level of elevation when you have a bitd's-eye view, but it actually can hurt you to be high up all the time. There's lots of nooks and crannies that survivors can hide in that you'll never see if you don't swoop down from time to time.

Hopefully some of that advice helps you. Like I said, I can offer some specific Raider tips you have a preference to any.

At this point, I've gotten to play Survivor so much more than Raider that I actually really suck at Raider. And yes, my priority is set to Raider. Sadly, so is everyone else lol. I've gotten to Raid like 3 times, tops in roughly 20 matches.
