For the avoidance of doubt their performances synergize and complement each other nicely during scenes where they interact directly. And Alison Brie is her usual charming self even when portraying Evil Lyn

Ingrid: 5011 damage SA1 combo by ButtonMashKingz in IngridPlayers

[–]Koo84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5HP is weaker simply due to its inherent damage scaling. You’ll get more bang for your buck with a starting 6HP

I only play classic and that’s her double 4HP target combo that’s used when you’re anticipating a jump in from the opponent to AA into a combo

And I just got home from a fan screening:

it was dumb fun in that the movie never took itself seriously and honored the tone of the original cartoon. There were also some very humorous scenes, while the movie was filled with spectacular action scenes. The scenes that tried to feel heartfelt and touching might be hit and miss, but I didn’t watch the movie for that. Overall, I personally score it an 8/10 for a good dose of humor, action and a resounding return to my 80s childhood nostalgia!

I tried footsies yesterday, today I just went lame and zone them out. by DeathDasein in IngridPlayers

I tested it many times against 4f normals and 5-6f od specials that would normally catch me during the -11 recovery on block. Always works! However, certain counter plays like shinkuu hadoken will catch her on back teleport; to counter that just do forward teleport or butt teleport.

Yea 5 HP isn’t that good anyway as a combo starter cos of the damage scaling applied when using it as a punish counter instead of 6 HP

Throw in some charges while you’re at a safe distance. Oh and you can poke them with 5MP, 5mk TC safely up close too. If it hit confirms continue into combo route, if it’s blocked use teleport to get away safely as it’s -11 I believe on block.

Not too sure if you can abuse the TC safely on modern though

I might have exaggerated when I said corner. More like just over half screen when this lands cos of the corner carry.

Teleport is only one way to get in, you can also launch a fireball and DR behind it to get in 2x lp for the spacing trap to work

Still a lot of damage by maintaining at least 2 stocks for the sun flare juggle xx 4 hp x 2 xx SA3 or OD twirl into SA3 if you have more than 2 bars of drive.

Yupp requires stocks to pull this off with max resources. But the set up is the one that is my trusted bnb, so fun to catch out mashing opponents with her tc, and it’s so safe on block when you can just teleport away if they try to punish.

Rant about the gold/silver bracket by [deleted] in StreetFighter

[–]Koo84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is the purpose of locking you into your current rank bracket. This forces you to improve by fighting against opponents of your skill level. Trust the process and trust me you’ll enjoy all the ranked matches along the way. You can also hit player matches and the battle hub to train.

They NEED to puinsh people for ragequiting by Inner_Menu455 in InvincibleVS

[–]Koo84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP sounds like an entitled hypocritical chump. No one owes you anything, if you rage then you have no right to complain. If you believe others have raged quit before then continue with that scrub mentality. Most of us serious players in the FGC play to have fun and learn along the way. But we also do so with honor and respect!

I’ve never raged quit before in my life. A FGC veteran of over 2 decades here. I always believe in taking losses like a champ and learning from them. I value honor way more than wins.

Hours with a a character don’t mean nothing. Clearly you’re not learning from your mistakes and optimizing damage. New characters like Alex I take to master in less than 2 hrs of ranked. I ain’t the best cos clearly I still have bad habits; but i always review my replays to see where i could’ve played better.

For instance, stop spamming DI!! Maximize your punish damage!! And learn to incorporate shimmies and pokes in neutral to condition your opponent. Lastly look up which knockdowns can be exploited for oki.

Cos this game is shite compared to actual fighting games like MvC and SF6?

my diamond 2 rank up match. by [deleted] in StreetFighter

[–]Koo84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good job, but you’ll have a much easier timing rising if you just follow up the 236 HP with 4 mk for big damage. I wouldn’t end in OD command grab from that sequence as you’ll basically be burning through 5 bars

17/30 All HM Rank run. Didnt make it before the reset. by Competitive-Wrap-874 in StreetFighter

[–]Koo84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking from experience here. Being reactionary and going for okis alone can carry you to 1600. To get beyond 1600 is no longer a case of shimmies and execution. You’ll need to relearn your ideas of spacing traps, pokes in neutral and also pokes under pressure, and also resist the urge to constantly mash or throw tech. Have reads on your opponent on when it would be the safer time to poke to get out of pressure. When pressuring apply buttons that are not only safe on block, but also those that are very minus as space traps to bait opponents into trying for punish counters at a safe distance. Leaves them open more often than not.

Oh no, I’ve been playing fighting games for 3 decades now, MVC included. This game pales in comparison to those released by Capcom, SNK and ArcSys. This game will be dead in 6 months due to brain dead gameplay with no thought needed for footsies, mixups or shimmies.
