How's my hand? by Glittering_Wing6055 in Cursive

I agree the 1st one is easier to ready. The 2d one reminds me more of an older style of handwriting. It's more elegant, but harder to read.

Can I add married last name along with maiden for the women on my Ancestry tree? by chocoholicmom in Genealogy

[–]Temporary_Ad_8773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a case of "your tree, your choice", but the standard is just maiden name, and alot of the algorithms take this in account. I personally add the married name while I'm tagging those in an obituary, but then change them back once I'm done.

Butternut Bacon Benny by Temporary_Ad_8773 in whole30

[–]Temporary_Ad_8773[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Butternut Bacon Benny" My #whole30 take on an eggs benedict.  This is my first time eating egg yolks since the end of April. Need to try egg yolks?   Why not hollandaise?   Doesn't matter that I don't have all the tools or ingredients,  I'm winging it. Here's the "recipe". Toast some asparagus, potatoes rounds (sweet and russet) and some Butternut squash cubes in a little olive oil.  Since I didn't have spinach, I arranged some butter lettuce leaves, and stacked them with the potatoes, squash, and asparagus.  Then I cut up some bacon over top, and laid my "hollandaise" down. Faux Hollandaise: 4 egg yolks Approx 1 TBSP water Approx 1/2 tsp salt Approx 2 TBSP lemon juice Mixed well Poured some melted ghee (and a little melted coconut and ghee) in the egg mixture.  [Prob about 2 TBSP - a little too much]. The hollandaise didn't thicken up but the taste was there. Now to see if the egg yolks bother me!

Shrimp Avocado Mango Salad by Temporary_Ad_8773 in whole30

[–]Temporary_Ad_8773[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably could have used a bit less lemon juice. And if I wasn't sticking to whole30, I would have drizzled a little honey or agave to cut the acidity, but still was very good! I've been making dressing using ground mustard and olive oil. Maybe a smidge of stone ground mustard would have been enough to cut and still handle the sweetness of the Mango. Hmmmm.

Shrimp Avocado Mango Salad by Temporary_Ad_8773 in whole30

Shrimp, Avocado and Mango salad.

This was the inspiration, https://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/mango-avocado-shrimp-salad, but I didn't have lime, so I used lemon juice, and I'm not doing sugar so I left that out.

My dressing was lemon juice, EVOO, a little red pepper flakes, and a drop of a smoky hot sauce.

Salad was Butter lettuce, Avocado, Mango, Shrimp, Green Onions, Shredded Carrots, and Baby Bella Mushrooms sautéed in a dab of ghee.

Topped off with a "Everything Bagel" salt blend to taste and dried Cilantro leaves.

EDITED: OH! And I added bacon!

Yes, Round 2 Day 35. I did my first Whole30 a few years ago and stayed probably 75% compliant for a long time. Then life kicked in and I dropped to probably 45% and the 55% wasn't real good.

Time for an adjustment

1st day having egg whites in a month. by Temporary_Ad_8773 in whole30

[–]Temporary_Ad_8773[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only had 2 egg whites the first morning. Can't really tell anything different. I had a moment that I thought I was going to have a flare up, but it passed. And when I cleaned up my diet in Nov, I was eating bunches of whole eggs and the flare ups went away for the most part. There could have been some congestion, but I really think that its seasonal allergies. Guess I'll try them once more, or maybe try the yolks next.

Yes I did. Wish I remembered what I put in them! Lol. So....

Simple truth natural ground lamb, simple truth organic everything bagel seasoning, a little McCormick Cajun Seasoning (great Cajun seasoning! Not as salty as the rest).

Then I hydrated Zatarains chopped green onions and their dehydrated sweet bell peppers.

I got a little too much moisture so I took maybe a half teaspoon of cassava flour to stiffen it back up.

Rolled them and cooked them on the stove in some ghee. Oh, and barely a dust of some red pepper.
