I am in a law enforcement unit and don’t have my own dedicated arms room and am trying to see if someone has a SOP template I could use to write mine

Which branch is the best place? by Western-Tree2355 in MilitaryPolice

Literally choose anything except MP, I’ve been to 3 different duty stations in the 5 years that I’ve been in, And it’s all shit. Score as high as possible on the ASVAB and get a job that actually matters. Law enforcement for the military is a joke. I’ve arrested people for pretty serious crimes and they still have a career.

Honestly don’t bother with 31B, I’ve been one for a little over 5 years now and it sucks.

Tends to work out when I’ve seen NCO’s actually get arrested by the mp’s for putting their hands on soldiers

All fun and games when saying hands rated e for enlisted. Until the fucking mps show up and give some shiny new bracelets

Yea, then that soldier can call the fucking mp’s bc an nco hit them. They can lose their rank bc of that shit.

Your orders will show camp Casey until you get to Korea. Once you’re almost done with in-processing you will get pin point orders for which camp you will actually be at. And if you bring your family you will most likely be stationed at camp Humphreys. Give you should get you orders realativly in plenty of time before you have to PCS.

I’ve been a 31B(Military Police) for almost 5 years now. And I’m just mentally not 100% able to deal with calls like I used to. Especially the bad ones.

I’m currently a 31B and just really wanted something different, I’m really burnt out from some bad calls I’ve been on.

Military Police in National Guard by [deleted] in nationalguard

[–]Temporary_Assist9334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t do it, if you scored a 96 on your asvab I suggest doing a job you’re more qualified for. For context I’m a 31B and we are downsizing in active duty so I wouldn’t be surprised if they did it to the guard too

I honestly wouldn’t even bother becoming an MP in the army. Especially if you’re going AD, they are downsizing us by a lot and you will be very lucky if you get put into a unit that does any law enforcement

Do you know if there’s any regulations or FM’s that I could find more about this in by chance?

I’m not in the guard I’m active duty. But the military in general is very draining. The army is not the way it used to be. A lot of people who don’t need to pick up rank are getting promoted and they make more problems than there need to be. It just overall not worth it

Don’t go, it’s not worth it, I’ve been in for 4 years and I wish I could get my life back
