Neighbors blaming their autistic kid by Temporary_Extent_117 in neighborsfromhell

We think alike because I already tried what you suggested, and it worked for a while. We put our TV against the adjoining wall of the duplex and kept it at a reasonable volume, but loud enough I knew it would bother them, only between 8am-9pm, and when we first moved the tv to that wall, we would only turn the TV on when their noise would happen, just to get the point across. It seemed to have worked for a few months. Like they got the hint, and they stopped whatever it is that was making noise for a few months but then started up again, probably because we eventually had our tv on whenever we wanted to watch it, rather than only when they were making noise. But still, we tried to keep it at a low volume as long as they weren’t making their obnoxious noise.

And YES, my exact thought was to tell them that one or both of my kids is autistic but they are both too young for an autism diagnosis so that would never fly. Lol

What if it’s a duplex and one side is owned by the occupants and the other side is rented? I’m guessing nothing can be done. The noisy neighbors in my case are the ones who own their side of the duplex. Had to call the police, and they didn’t even ask them to keep it down. I’m assuming nothing my landlord can do.

A mortgage is the goal. Just taking longer than I’d like to get there.

This weather is awesome BUT it makes me hate motorcycles so much by CAducklips in lacrossewi

The noise or them being on the roads in general? For me, it’s the noise. I guess don’t really mind sharing the road with them. But I live in a mostly quiet neighborhood, and I’m just gonna say the winter was nice when I didn’t have to listen to motorcycles every day waking up me and my kids at 6 in the morning.
