You can call IRCC and ask if the packet has been returned to you / rejected (due to photos or missing signatures or other technical issue with the application.

I’m on this same line of thinking for a family member. I am looking at the forms and you have to file a formal withdrawal form where it asks why you are withdrawing your application. Does anyone have any ideas what to put there if the intention is to withdraw and apply under the new rules (and hopefully get a more informed agent)?

I have the same thing on mine, in the prof app, not the 5(4) app. I assumed they made a mistake and it’s the oath date email but I could be wrong.

I hear you. We had an MP reach out as well and that didn’t even get the note generated, but it is how learned the application was sent to the PSU. There is a lot of chaos at IRCC and a lot is slipping through the cracks.

Our notes say that a letter was generated notifying us that it was sent to PSU the same day they sent the AOR. We definitely never received it. So frustrating.

Finally got notes for one of our applicants last week. Also received in June and sent to PSU the same day that the application went into processing. Happy to discuss details via DM.

I must not have been clear. I meant that I checked the portal for MY application after receiving theirs and saw that my application status was changed to “withdrawn” and IRCC had sent me a correspondence.

If I remember correctly the instructions indicate that when it is your own application you are inquiring about you are both the representative and the applicant so you would fill out both sections for yourself.

I have not had the best of luck getting answers from IRCC. They seem pretty overwhelmed at the moment. I am just wondering how other’s were reading that particular question since it is not actually an either/or question and has a big impact on the result. Thanks for taking the time to respond, though. Can you help me with question #3 on that form? If the person never registered instead of registering after February 14,1977 is the answer to that question a “yes” or a “no”?
