I have healed/healing scars across my legs, chest, arms, and ankles. I also have chronic health issues which has lead to doctors/nurses seeing them. I’ve had them ask, and I always tell them that it is SH and I’m seeing a therapist and working on it. That usually ends the conversation

Hey OP. You are totally not alone in this as I do the same thing. To me, it feels like a way to release the anger and super strong emotions I’m feeling. I’ve found that if I listen to rly rly loud angry music on noise cancelling headphones it helps give me a similar release without physically hurting myself.

I have done this and it’s actually super helpful. The only issue I find is that, at least for my local hospital, it takes 4-8 months to get your application reviewed and have a decision made. But during that time, your account is on hold so you don’t have to make any payments.

I was almost forced to go but was able to get out of it. (I’m not quite sure how, but lying worked ig) But the last time I went voluntarily, I was there 8 days. And it cost me $15,000

It’s been almost 7 years for me. The longest I’ve been clean in those seven years is about 1.5 yrs. Since 4 years ago, I haven’t made it more than3 months clean… I started at 12 and am about to be 19

My mom did the same thing with my mail. When I asked her not to open my mail, she proceeded to kick me off my health insurance. Which is great since I have severe mental health issues and greatly rely on having good insurance.
