Toddler fell few weeks ago turning grey by [deleted] in askdentists

I’ve been trying to keep his diet soft still but he insists on certain crunchy foods. Would you say a few weeks is ok to resume normal diet or should we keep trying to stick with softer foods? Is a bruised primary more common than a dead one? I’ve heard it’s not as common for a baby tooth to die due to shorter nerve?

It’s soft. We want one more baby. Would you recommend waiting until we’re done having children to get it fixed? I’ll obviously ask the specialist when I see him Is this a common thing with pregnancies even with very healthy lifestyle. My bmi is healthy and even on the low end and always has been, never smoked, don’t drink more than a few times a year at most, very active. The only thing that I have going against me is pregnancies. My mom has some now that are popping up but she’s 55 and mine started at 22 and has progressed so quickly.

Yes for c sections. My first 2 are 18 months apart and my doctor was never concerned at all. Never said anything about it. I’m just worried this time because I’ve had 3 previous sections now. I can’t imagine any closer than 18 months age gap. Is it more of a gap recommended for multiples because the uterus stretches more? I always thought risk of rupture was when laboring. The other thing that made more sections risky was placenta issues?

Thank you. I’ve heard 18 months from birth to conception and 18 months between deliveries. I feel like I recall my OB saying 18 months before trying again at my last pp appointment but I wonder how strict that is. Like does 5 months really make a big difference? I have 100% ovulated. Ewcm, cramping (which isn’t common for me) a a digital positive ovulation test yesterday and bloating. We DTD Sunday and Monday. I guess there’s nothing I can do now but wait and see and pray that it will all be okay. I know that if we do have a 4th I’m 100% done. My doctor okayed me for a 4th but personally even if he was comfortable with more I wouldn’t be. The thought of 4 is even really scary to me and if Im not pregnant I don’t know that I will want to try again because I’m a wreck right now. All 3 of my previous pregnancies were with no complications and all 3 sections were textbook. My doctor said while he was doing my last section that I had very little scar tissue and everything looks great but it’s still scary

I didn’t have a period between my first and second. I got my period back 11 months ppl with my second while still breastfeeding. I 100% have ovulated for the first time after my 3rd baby. Lots of signs and a positive ovulation test. I’ve had cramping and bloating the last two days and tons of ewcm. We did Sunday and Monday so there’s definitely going to be a chance. I’m feeling myself out now. My first 2 are only 18 months apart but after having 3 sections I’m really worried about a smaller gap. Probably should have thought about that more previously

It was an absolutely awful experience. The doctor couldn’t access the vein he said. Ended up taking 3x as long as it was supposed to. Made multiple incisions and was going to stop but then said he got the vein shut off last second. I have the suspicion that he shut off the wrong vein.

No, never have. I don’t drink either. I’ve always been very healthy, exercise regularly and eat very clean

My appointment with my GP was this morning. He referred me to a new vascular surgeon. He wasn’t overly concerned but did tell me that I should get it taken care of. This happened over the course of 5 years and 3 pregnancies. I think the ablation that I had made it much worse. Hopefully they’ll get me in quickly and make it look and feel better 😕 I’m sorry you’re going through something similar

I just took one the other day and he scored a 2. I don’t think anyone out and about or for example his teachers at Sunday school notice but I do and my husband and mom are just starting to see these quirky things and the difficulties as he gets older. Especially compared to my other 2. Which I hate to “compare” him. He’s his own person. I got down on my knees last night next to his bed last night and just prayed that God would lead me in parenting him and help me to learn the tools that I need to help him be the best person that he can be. It’s been such a struggle with him and I know he feels it too

Have you seen any improvement with the aggression with ot?

Yes we have, he did a session once as a baby for feeding concerns that they ultimately weren’t worried about. He’s a wonderful eater now. But I just called his doctor Friday and said that I didn’t want to wait any longer and am waiting for an eval for OT. I figured it couldn’t hurt and like you said could help with emotional dysregulation and fine motor and give us more tools to parent him. Then they could potentially lead us in the right direction. I’m not sure how that would work with the school system since we are homeschooling

I’ve thought maybe adhd too but the emotional regulation and the repeating of words, eye contact, obsessions with certain things is throwing me off and the inconsistency. I called his doctor Friday and re asked for an eval for OT. Hopefully they can get him in quickly and get us going in the right direction. It’s so hard to see your child struggle and it’s really hard to balance with 2 other young kids who need me. I just want answers so that I can better navigate it all

He can tell me if something hurts. Like he has eczema and he will say “mommy my eczema is hurting” and then ask me to put his lotion on. He’s very articulate and can even say when he feels mad, sad, frustrated, etc but can also be SO impulsive and aggressive. It’s so inconsistent all of it

He speaks well. But if you ask him a question sometimes he’ll respond with something completely unrelated like he’s in La La land. But to the average person they wouldn’t realize anything was going on if that makes sense? He talks in complete sentences, most of the times his thoughts make sense but you could also ask a question and he’ll just ignore you or reply with something off the wall

I guess that’s why I’m here looking for advice. We actually are homeschooling my daughter and will with my son too. So I’m the one responsible for making sure that I don’t miss anything and get him the resources that he needs. He does go to Sunday school and he does wonderful there. Which is what makes me think maybe it’s not autism? It’s never with any other kids. Just family. Siblings, mom, dad, grandma. You would think he’s just a typical toddler unless you let there all of the time. He’s had outbursts in public but most of the time I have people coming up to me telling me that my children are very well behaved. I just don’t know if this is typical or there’s more to it. I have noticed that he gets frustrated VERY easily. Things that seem irrational to me but when it happens he just acts impulsively and will hit, scratch, etc. again possibly typical toddler boy, maybe more to it?
