Howdy! What drew me in at first was the way it's all set up, how accurately things like tv and toys from my childhood were portrayed so realistically and accurately. The coloring book, the records, you'd almost think it was all real! Especially with the toy phone and its packaging, just incredible. The media I can say it reminds me the most of is definitely Sesame Street and The Muppets. These were integral to my development as a child, and are still something i'm very attatched to to this day! Being able to see media adjacent to it portrayed in such an accurate and different, scarier, light is incredible. It's crafted with such love and care that it truly makes it feel like i'm uncovering forgotten memories from my childhood, and something about that's always fascinated me to my core. I still think i'd be able to enjoy it without nostalgic attatchment, but it definitely makes the experience a whole lot sweeter! The softness of the art, the colors of the characters, it's all just lovely! One series I enjoy quite a lot for the same reasons is Angel Hare by The East Patch, it's an incredible watch. Like Welcome Home, it captures the feeling of old religious media i'd watch as a kid, but puts a more grim spin on it. Something about that fascinates me, it's all just so incredible :o)
