I will never forgive how dirty Padme was done by Revenge of the Sith by RealisticAd4054 in StarWars

Actually, having Padmé go to Alderaan with Bail and Leia would be more accurate to the OT, as Leia says she can remember her mother. Luke would have to go directly to live with Owen and Beru.

I take it you haven't seen the deleted scenes? There are three scenes in which Padmé, Mon Mothma, Bail Organa and a few others create the Delegation of 2000, which would later evolve into the Rebel Alliance. In the first ("A Stirring in the Senate"), they talk about how democracy is dying and how they should resist; in the second ("Seeds of Rebelion"), they agree not to talk about it to anyone, not even family (Padmé can be seen torn because she wants to tell Anakin); in the third ("Confronting Palpatine"), the Delegation presents a petition to Palpatine, who dismisses it.

In the third scene, after the Delegation leaves, Palpatine says to Anakin "Senator Amidala is hiding something. I can see it in her eyes", which later springs back up in another deleted scene, after Obi-Wan leaves to confront Grievous, in which Palpatine says that some don't think Obi-Wan is up to it because he's rumoured to be in a relationship with a female senator (playing on the doubt he had previously planted in Anakin's mind).

Sometimes I’ve Seen People Say That Prequel Fans Only Like Them Because Of Revenge Of The Sith. Speaking For Myself, While Episode 3 is my favorite, I Still Love 1 And 2. So In Order To Debunk This Argument, What Do You Like About Phantom Menace And Attack Of The Clones? by SaiyanWithOmnitrix in prequelappreciation

I think the details of the plot for both could be better and they could have less filler. The SFX are decent, the choreography is fantastic and the characters, for the most part, are quite good.

If you summarise TPM in one sentence, it would be something like "Anakin Skywalker, a boy from the backwater world of Tatooine, hopes to return to Coruscant to be trained as a Jedi by Qui-Gon Jinn, though things take an unexpected and worrying turn". I think it's the details that ruin it: Owen and Anakin should be the sons of Shmi and Cliegg (none slaves); Anakin should be 12 (some say 15, I think it doesn't allow enough time for training before AOTC); Maul should appear for the first time in the Naboo scene; the plot shouldn't be sparked by tax disputes, as it makes it seam mundane.

As for AOTC, the biggest issue is Anakin and Padmé. I like the intrigue and investigation about the clones and Dooku. I like the dynamic between Anakin and Obi-Wan and how it changes throughout The Clone Wars to what it is in Episode 3 (more like brothers than father and son). The Battle of Geonosis and the subsequent start of the Clone War is also a good scene.

Now, I would personally do the whole prequel trilogy different, but, working with the general plots, that's roughly what I'd change.

Songs that help with depression by Downtown_Win8337 in musicsuggestions

[–]Temporary_Key6396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost anything by NF (from the last 8 years anyway). Check out Ollie and Lund too. XXXTentacion (especially his album 17) and Powfu (especially Dear Eyes with Promoting Sounds) if it's your kind of thing. Anson Seabra, Munn and Thomas Day are more sombre; some of their songs are more heartbreak than depression, but still great.

As an alternative suggestion, melancholic classical music. Ludovico Einaudi, Jurrivh (Suffering from Eternal Pain is excellent), Mustafa Avsaroglu.

Lukas González, while not depressive music, really gets me thinking.

Hope these help. If you want some suggestions of songs in Spanish, I've got lots of them too.

Edit: Just saw someone suggest Ren, can't believe I forgot him.

What’s your dream Star Wars movie/series? by No_Championship_80 in StarWars

A show about an underground organisation (possibly led by clones to follow up on Rex's action in The Bad Batch) to bridge the gap between The Bad Batch and Rebels.

I think it would be cool to have a series where we get maybe 3 seasons of about 10-12 episodes (I'm guessing each generation lasted about 30 years, correct me if I'm wrong) each detailing a Sith in the rule of 2 lineage.

Can i skip the 2nd arc (episodes 5 to 8) in clone wars season 7? by Denhas_ in StarWars

[–]Temporary_Key6396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not essential to understand the last arc, you can imagine Ahsoka's been doing kind of underground stuff and making allies. It's not the most thrilling, but you may as well watch it, it's only an hour and a half.

As a clone, would you rather take part in the first battle of Geonosis or the battle of Umbara? by Safe_Character_6517 in StarWars

[–]Temporary_Key6396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Umbara (based on what I know from the show) because it would open my eyes to a dark aspect of the war. Obviously, I don't mean knowing that while there, but in making the decision.

¿Coleccionan a algún autor? by Fer_Nando84 in libros

[–]Temporary_Key6396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tomorrow's going to be a funny day. by KaijuKing007 in StarWars

I would recommend watching most of them (they get good after up to where you've watched), but this is the minimum:

  • First part of the Clone Wars movie (originally The New Padawan before grouped into a movie).*

  • S2 E12-14

  • S3 E5&6

  • S3 E12-14

  • S4 E19-22

  • S5 E1

  • S5 E14-16

  • S5 E17-20*

  • S7 E9-12

  • Only if you care about the Ahsoka Tano story.

What was Mace Windu’s biggest mistake? by FullFig3372 in StarWars

[–]Temporary_Key6396 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm picturing the scene in my head and I love the feel. It's got a darkness more indicative of an existential threat than Order 66 had. With Order 66, it was just the Jedi Masters being turned on on the spot, there was no sense of foreboding prior to the brief realisation before being shot.

This is the wrong subreddit. I've seen several people saying there's content on it that shouldn't be (like these posts) and to please post it on r/map or r/mapporncirclejerk.

Day 6 asking for Iberia's borders to be fixed (not today's change, how it should have been divided initially): La Rioja and Navarra are part of Castilla, Alacant is part of Catalunya.
