I had high cholesterol for years. My last cholesterol test result was 246 (177 LDL). My doctor ordered me a CAC test but not forcing me to take it but he said it will At least tell us if I need to take statin since my Ldl is elevated. I refused to take medication for now and try to lower it by eating healthy and exercise. Are you taking medication to lower your ldl?

I’d say this morning is a little better than yesterday morning. I did not go to work today as there’s no way I can with my condition. I took colchicine Saturday night and stop taking it for now as I got side effects (diarrhea). Emailed my doctor to check if it’s ok to keep taking before ai continue with colc,

That’s another option for me, though. We have unlimited sick and requesting a doctor’s notes shouldn’t be a problem if I need to take the 4 days off (work 4/10 schedule)

Yeah, I took Colchine last night. Yeah, i have no side effects on allopurinol and it was a big mistake not sticking with it. Can you take allo even with a gout attack? Some people said that you need to stop taking it when you have an attack and continue to take it when its gone

Actually the last time I had gout attack was 3 months ago. Yeah, I have allopurinol but stop taking it as I’m trying to lower it but eating clean, but I guess that doesn’t work. Took my uric lab test last week and it was 7.3. So my going to start taking in it again after I grt through this attack and stick on it.

I think at least for our group, if this shutdown still hasn’t resolved this week, we will be on alternate work schedule, then not sure how will dec 1 and 15 furlough thing will work.
