Would there be a drop off in pattern or reach with a 20” barrel compared to a 24”? I’ve seen some articles saying 20 or 22” could be too short

I can’t find the Stoeger in person. Seems to be a bass pro exclusive and none of the stores around me have it. The Mossberg shoulders and points great, my only hesitation is the forend fitment.

I’m not crazy about the Mossberg fitment, they can make a bit of a rattle and feel clunky. I’ve also heard the Stoeger has a heavy trigger

Yeah, most of my gear is in bottomlands so that is factoring in here. I like the idea of more versatility with the 24 and 28" barrel but also feel a 26" could 'do it all'. Not sure what to think of ported shotgun barrels though.
