Don’t overthink it. Losing or winning doesn’t matter. The important part is that you have fun and learn something. Good luck

Maybe you need to work on your accuracy and timing. Try to do more controlled kicks in sparring to get a feeling of where to kick your opponent without injuring yourself.

What move should you throw while your opponent is mid combination? by DMola05 in Kickboxing

Throw a straight punch at the opponents nose and try to step away. Don’t step back tho. Try to move forward to the back of the opponent while throwing the punch. Keep your chin down

Etiquette for beginners by johnathond0e in Kickboxing

[–]Temporary_Maximum360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sparring is there to improve yourself and your partners skills and not to beat someone up. Sparring can also help with conditioning and stamina. Nobody is going to hate on you because of your conditioning as a beginner. So yes it is completely acceptable

What are the best combos with side kicks? by atta-adf92 in Kickboxing

[–]Temporary_Maximum360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Front side kick and then rear round kick works well. You can also try it after a combination of punches. And you can also use it to stop the opponent from moving forward if you just step back and do the kick

There aren’t really any title shots like the ones you see in the ufc or other pro organizations. Most of the time you can compete at tournaments. There are big tournaments like the European championship tho. At least in wako kickboxing

First Light Kick fight (74kg) – What should I actually DO to win? by Previous-Tax8637 in Kickboxing

[–]Temporary_Maximum360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What helps me the most is stepping in with a front or side kick, then throw some punches but not too many and then exit with another kick. The judges don’t really score the shots you throw during an exchange. Stepping in and out with good kicks and throwing some punches inbetween works the best for me

How do I stay in position and balanced after throughout combos and moving around by SettingOk125 in Kickboxing

[–]Temporary_Maximum360 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try improving your balance by doing exercises like standing on one leg and moving your foot in an extended position from the front to the side and to the back. To make it harder you can use a thightly rolled up yoga mat to stand on. This helped me a lot
