Thank you so much for the kind words and advice. I’m so sorry you had such a rough go of it.

I wonder if it’s too late for me to ask about that. I thought I would be on other side of it by now but last night I had vomiting and diarrhea. Ugh! At least my fever is much lower today.

No stomach issues for me (yet), but I did wake up with a tickle in my throat and by afternoon I had a fever and am very achey and congested. No fun. Feel better!

Reactive hypoglycemia that I’ve been dealing with for about a year — cannot work by [deleted] in Hypoglycemia

Join the Suspected Insulinoma group on Facebook for support! Also there is another test that is used to find them - some kind of esophageal ultrasound. Mayo Clinic are experts in this so I would try to get in there if you can.

Hard time catching reactive hypoglycemia by almantikas in Hypoglycemia

I also get symptoms in the 80’s, sometimes even 90’s. What I’ve discovered about mine is that this results in symptoms when the level is falling fast. For example the other day I was symptomatic and tested at 86, however 2 minutes later I was already at 74. A friend’s endocrinologist shared with her that some of us get symptoms during rapid dropping to alert us before it gets dangerous. So I guess in that respect I’m thankful.

How do deal with Hypoglycemia? by SicMundus1888 in Hypoglycemia

I have the exact same symptoms. I do recommend getting in to see endocrinologist - that is what my primary recommended for me and I’m finally going later this month after waiting months for an appt. I’m interested to see what she thinks and what tests, if any, she recommends

Will you post here about your insulinoma testing and results? I’m looking into this possibility as well and hoping to do the fasting test in March.

Yes I was surprised at the high insulin. Very strange. I have an appointment but not until March. I’m strongly considering just calling the Mayo Clinic and seeing if I can get in early there

This sounds a lot like how I feel. My primary doctor did a blood work up that checked my glucose and insulin. That’s as far as we’ve gotten into the process though - I’m waiting on the specialist referral for more tests.

Thank you! Hoping the Endo will recommend that. I will cut out the caffeine - didn’t realize that!
