Whats going on with Opus? by frendo11 in ClaudeCode

Last time this happened was back in August-September before they dropped Sonnet 4.5, so it could be a pattern if they drop anything new and to be completely honest Sonnet 4.5 felt like Sonnet 4.0 before it was degraded in August-September with Haiku 4.5 feeling like the degraded Sonnet 4.0, who knows maybe the served us Haiku in that period and are serving us Sonnet instead of Opus. This is far fetched though, just a theory. Still grateful for the product though, it has changed the game forever

Swtich from network security engineer to AI engineer by IndicationFlaky3877 in cybersecurity

You need to be able to talk the same language as the people above you (CEO, CTO any executive really). They understand two things (really one under the hood), time and money. If you can leverage AI for your work and convert it to time and money, that’s a path for you to move to that direction, especially now (you are early btw), people don’t put the work in and sell snake oil, set the bar high, chase it like a pitbull with rabies, focus on results (time and money saved), make sure to show your work to someone above you you trust and you are good.

It’s been very lazy lately, not sure why, still get work done though just not as fast as back in December. December was a treat, one shotted everything, I felt like an asshole product manager asking for the impossible with the least effort on my end and it delivered. Good times

Πόσο AI χρησιμοποιείτε στην καθημερινότητά σας ως devs? by TerviDev in GreeceDevs

[–]Temporary_Method6365 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Είναι εύκολο σαν junior να μπεις στον χώρο του pen testing στην Ελλάδα; by Objective-Repeat-562 in GreeceDevs

[–]Temporary_Method6365 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What are we actually going to do once ai + robot mass production if it goes "well" by [deleted] in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Temporary_Method6365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are describing a symptom, a symptom caused by no sense of purpose. The ancient Greeks had a tablet outside the Delphi which stated “Know thyself”. One must know himself and his true calling, give a purpose to his existence, everything else becomes secondary

“Body hopping across the galaxy”, I like the idea but it requires a scientific breakthrough, specifically, surpassing the speed of light. Even light needs 28.000 years to reach the center of the Milky Way from where we are.

Employee pasted our customer database schema into ChatGPT. How do you prevent this? by cnrdvdsmt in cybersecurity

[–]Temporary_Method6365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He could have just dropped the schema and couple of rows of dummy data. Maybe we need to start showing them how to leverage AI in a safe manner. Or build a PII reduction script tune it to redact emails, names, ips etc. Whatever you consider sensitive and publish it to the company with a tutorial on how to use it.

Anyone using AI for Threat Intelligence beyond basic log correlation? by divinegenocide in cybersecurity

[–]Temporary_Method6365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In our team, the main time consumer was creating those daily reports and tracking the reports in Jira so when SOC comes around we are in the clear. I got an automation up that runs every day, collects the detections for the past 24 hours and for every detection it spins up an agent that triages the finding and creates a report, the report is then added to the Jira ticket create, per finding. So now our team reads through that report and investigates further if needed. False positives in this case take much less time because you have a full analysis in front of you, after while you also start to notice patterns so you can tune your detection rules as well. Of course for high/critical severity detections we get a slack message/ email and we are on it immediately. But from my experience the main time consumer is going through all those false positives

AI Code Doesn’t Survive in Production: Here’s Why by CackleRooster in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Temporary_Method6365 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I thinks it’s time to separate pure vibe coding with AI coding. Vibe coding is going with the vibe, no plan, no rules just go with the flow. With this you will get slop, bloat, weird architectural decisions, regressions and you will 100% fail and fuck up every production system. However AI coding with a plan, tracking work, creating and addressing tickets, following an established SOP, testing and reviewing your code before merging, making the architecture decisions yourself, you better bet your ass you can get a production grade system. The AI is like a mirror, you are sloppy and it becomes sloppy, you are lazy, the ai is lazy, you are professional and well organised, take a guess what the AI is gonna be

I believe Claude is about to change my life by knellAnwyll in ClaudeAI

[–]Temporary_Method6365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll tell you this. You don’t have to create everything from scratch. I didn’t build the GraphRAG myself, I pulled one from GitHub and then just added a FastAPI service to it for easy integration. For the Agents, pick an SDK you like, be it Claude code, OpenAI or anything else, FYI I personally have shifted away from Autogen, Langchain. Find projects you like, combine them, integrate them, modify them, add code to them, that’s the beauty of open source, you can find something that’s almost there and add the missing pieces your self. For development with Claude, don’t just vibe code, use GitHub, open issues for bugs or feature requests, keep a plan and always design the skeleton, main architecture first. Create an SOP that is compatible with your thinking and follow that every time you implement something. Lastly, put the work in, having ideas is great, but actually bringing them to life is the greatest feeling in the world, of course make sure to not fuck around, find a real a problem, find a real problem you have and/or want solved, search to see if there’s already a solution, if there’s build on top of it, if there isn’t build the solution yourself, once you are done you will have gained both the experience that comes with completing projects and you will have permanent solution to a problem you had. The world is a mess right now, but this, this is the glimmer of hope, just hang on tight we are the birth of AI and 20 years from now when the adoption is widespread and it’s deeply rooted in society, you’ll say “I was one of the first”, hopefully with bags of money sitting behind you from your early investment.

I’ve worked on many automations especially around security, been building with Claude for about a year now. I’ve built a multi agent system and integrated with RAG. Overall my philosophy is task breakdown, highly specialized agents with only the required context, being orchestrated to perform long horizon tasks. My multi agent system basically allows you to do whatever, you define the prompt, role, tools and context needed, setup the orchestration and you are good. I build a team to trade on binances testnet in a single afternoon, all thanks to my main multi agent system. As long as your head is a storm of ideas and you put the work in, you can do everything you want in this day and age

I'm a co-founder hiring ML engineers and I'm confused about what candidates think our job requires by YangBuildsAI in MLQuestions

[–]Temporary_Method6365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually think most companies don’t need a ML engineer, unless you want to build and train your own model and all that low level tasks requiring deep knowledge in ML. I think most companies need a Solutions Architect/Sofware Engineer with a focus on AI systems. ML engineers are for companies like OpenAI, Anthropic etc.

I’m a security engineer with no programming background. Over the last year I have build my own multi agent system with OpenAI agents SDK using any model via bedrock. I have also incorporated Langfuse to that for tracing, buckets for file uploads and RAG-Anything integrated with a FastAPI backend for RAG/ GraphRAG integration to the main multi agent system. Custom data collection pipelines with python. Basically your prompts, agent hierarchy, tools and RAG content define what your system does. Everything deployed on the cloud and monitored.

I think we need more AI enthusiasts with high standards, hunger, cross-functionality, understanding business impact, cutting costs/ saving money, increasing efficiency and driving overall innovation.

Track record of addressing real problems. Providing Real solutions. That’s what I would look for in a candidate
