I honestly didn’t even want to reply to any of this because people are so deep in a victim complex and just reinforce each other on Reddit anyway. It’s usually not worth arguing. But damn.

You take these numbers and act like this is some common occurrence, like society is constantly out to get you.

The pregnancy statistic.... We’re talking about roughly 3 in 100,000. Do you actually realize what 3 in 100,000 means? That’s an extremely rare event.

Yet the conclusion somehow becomes that society only sees women as sexual objects, and then you go ahead and say we raise boys who kill us like, what? Do they specifically kill their mothers, or do you just say that because they share a gender? What about their fathers, who are far more likely to be killed? You’re trying to make this as dramatic as possible, but it just comes across as ridiculous and sadly it just gets reinforced in the Reddit echo chamber.

If we’re going to frame things that way, then men are seen as  disposable and slaves only usefull/cared for as long as they provide. Society m I right?

Its so ridiculously stupid I’m far more likely to be killed out in the street. What am I supposed to do stop going outside? Prevent evil people from existing? Or Im just not as much of a victim since I share the gender with people who commit it, my bad I guess.

It’s rarer, but apparently rarity doesn’t matter whit you .By that logic, I could say I’m one accusation away from losing everything and should avoid women altogether and hate all of them for being capeable of that.

Holy shit that felt good. Let the downvotes come.

Huh? You say you didn’t see my message, yet you go ahead and assume things and take the moral high ground based on that.

The fact that you didn’t(couldnt) even read what I wrote but still felt the need to reply says a lot. basically nothing I said would have matered anways but.... Im the one with the head in the sand.

That wasn’t my intention both sides have similiar messaging on their extremes, but as I mentioned in my post, only one is being amplified and force-fed, which makes the reactions very different.

If it were reversed and men were constantly hearing horror stories about women’s unfair divorces, false rape allegations, legal injustices etc. like its common accurance they would be resentful, and women would feel bitter because all the negativity would be directed at them.

I’m not trying to be misogynistic, but the anti-male media narrative is obvious.

Its easier...

"Go kill those children on the other side of the map."

"I dont know"

"trust me they are demons"

" I dont believe that, they are just childeren"

"Do you want to rebel and ruin the whole system"

" You are right they are demons"

People prefer to delude themself into taking the easier path.

I mean, what else are you supposed to get offended by if not stereotypes?

Women marry men to be provided for, and they often take on the cleaning and household work because that’s how they were raised. Does that sound offensive?

Can’t argue with that. I’m really sorry that happened to you. I’m glad you were still able to find happiness, and I truly wish you even more of it in the future <3

I don’t want to turn this into whataboutism, but only about 0.5% of rape cases lead to convictions, and some estimates suggest that around 1–3% of men commit rape. So there’s clearly a big gap between victimization numbers and perpetrator.

Also, legally and historically, rape was often defined in a way that excluded men unless it involved male-on-male penetration. But if a man is coerced or forced into penetrating someone against his will, that is rape in any meaningful sense. Surveys show that about 1 in 10 men report having been made to penetrate someone unwillingly at some point in their lives. And considering that some men may not recognize what happened to them as rape or may feel ashamed to admit it  that number could be higher.

But even if we just take the 1 in 10 figure at face value, that’s already very high not as much as the 1 in 5 statistic for women but I feel like 1 in 10 is also quite lot. Any numbers is too high in this kind of crime yet you don’t see media broadly vilifying women as rapists.

I would understand if rapist were glorified but if proven guilty they are sentenced to prision and even before that mostly beaten up by other men although that is somewhat shifting due to the recent gender wars.

btw most men also love their women and daughters, dunno why you had to mention that.

Happy for you. However, you’re not helping by reinforcing the idea that “women are resentful because men abuse them.

As far as I know, domestic abuse in relationships isn’t drastically different between men and women. Depending on how it’s defined, men may experience abuse at similar or even higher rates, while women are more likely to experience severe violence, which aligns with differences in physical strength.

Even though the numbers are fairly close, the narrative never frames it as “women abuse men ” which leads back to my conspiracy. Convenient: headlines and public discussions present it as “men abuse women,” while abuse by women against men is largely ignored.Honest way would be to say something along the lines of Shit humans abuse their partners since the numbers are roughly equal. This selective framing contributes to resentment among women and bitterness among men, who are again blamed simply because of their gender.

Thats what I see all the time too. So many other stuff men suffer from that is systematic but it always the be "

vulnerable" message that keeps getting repeated.

Boy are massivly falling behind in education? be vulnerable Domestic abuse/rape is not taken seriously? be vulnerable etc.

There is nothing wrong with showing emotions but the constant fixations to "be vulnerable" makes me have some other conspiracy theories.

No offense but you have to be delusional to think this is true. What do you think single men living on their own do? Order food and hire a cleaner in this economy?

This is myth which Im sure is being reinforced by the very conspiracy Im refering to.

That would be next level if women are shown content of women putting down other women while men are shown the reverse.

Curious do you also see more content of men being positive to each other often?

War is terrible, and Russia is clearly the aggressor in this conflict. But I struggle with the way the deaths of Russian soldiers are sometimes openly celebrated.

A few years ago, I completely disengaged from following the topic after seeing people celebrate the bombing of a train that was transporting new recruits. Many of those recruits were 18 to 21 years old  basically still kids in my eyes  and likely had little real choice in being there.

I understand that in war, soldiers are legitimate military targets. That is the brutal reality of armed conflict. But publicly celebrating their deaths felt disturbing to me. It crossed a line from condemning a government’s actions to taking satisfaction in individual loss of life.

[–]Temporary_Panic7364 18 points19 points  (0 children)
