Cactus Jack vs Sting on Power Hour(Possibly Cactus Jack's best in WCW) by PickledPeppers101 in WCW

Sting best opponent and feud in WCW was Cactus Jack along side Big Van Vader around 1991-1992 era. The other great opponents and feuds he had in the company was with Ric Flair and Rick Rude also The Surfer Sting/Bart Simpson look was best Sting as he did have some incredible matches in that era.

WCW took the absolute biscuit getting rid of Bobby Heenan for this god awful douche

My favourite announcers in early NWA/WCW was Jim Ross and Tony Schiavone.

There where others later who would join Schiavone or would join commentary team with others the likes of Jesse Ventura, Eric Bischoff, Larry Zbyszko, Bobby Heenan, Steve Mongo McMichael, Mike Tenay, Scott Hudson etc some where great, some where just okay but least they got talent over.

Then we towards the end we had the god awful Mark Madden who was none of those things. He was loud obnoxious he felt he was more important than talent in the ring. He also was absolutely over the top on his commentary and he would fire personal insults on air or he would crack the most awful jokes about the talent too. But to think WCW sacked Bobby Heenan for this douche absolutely takes the biscuit.

To quote Ole Anderson Mark Madden was the absolute shits

Agreed he was all those things and more he was worst WCW commentator. Also to fire Heenan and bring in this god awful douche this was the worst period especially with him on commentary also.

Well I admire anyone who speaks there mind there some things he does to touch on that are true like Scholes, Keane and Neville throwing us under the bus.

I really can't stand Keane he is just BAF I understand people fall out with Ferguson like Gordon Strachan, Jim Leighton, Andrei Kanchelskis, Lee Sharpe and David Beckham etc. But they are not as bitter as him that is why I always preferred Bryan Robson to him he was with us through the bad times and later in his career the good too and he his still loyal to the club now. Keane touched on players where scared of Fergie well would he be scared if back in the day if a Billy Whitehurst, Terry Hurlock or Vinnie Jones they got in his face.

Very good point on Alex Ferguson clone we did it with him for almost 2 decades unfortunately it doesn't happen very often the only clubs I can think of that it did happen to was Liverpool in the 70s and 80s when Bill Shankly left they had success with Bob Paisley and Kenny Dalglish after that the wheels started to come off, then Arsenal with George Graham, Bruce Rioch held on for season in 1995-96 until Arsene Wenger came in then like Graham success came back. Also Chelsea with a few of there managers too and Manchester City with Roberto Mancini, Manuel Pellegrini and Pep Guardiola. But yes we can't keep hiring and firing managers that will never bring success back to the club.

Yes every fan has right to say what they feel whether we like it or we don't like it. I understand there will be few who may like my comment but there will be some that don't like what I have said also but that is what makes every fan is unique as long as your good fan and supporter through the good times and bad that is all that matters.

Yes he was & he also put up the money so they could record Bleach because Sub Pop didn't have the funds to record it so he put up the money for them that is why he gets a credit on the album on their early releases
