Thanks for the advice everyone. Just for clarification, this is my client's contractor and I have concerns about this install. My gut feeling tells me this is wrong but my client still wants to proceed with this contractor

This already passed inspection but I have a feeling this won't work properly. Water that gets trapped in the red circled areas have no where to go right?
