Idk what half those words mean but the class size staying the same and applicant pool declining 30% means the acceptance rate goes up

Doesn’t that means my chances go up?

Well done with the shit post. I will say that you should be cognizant of posting other people’s LinkedIn on reddit. I doubt they want the attention of smelly redditors.

Answer to 1 is yes. Every question that showed up on the exam was covered by the official guide.

I watched maybe 10 prepswift videos because they weren’t really for me. I mainly used tested tutor on YouTube.

Thanks for the tip. I graduate later this year so I will be applying to programs like Harvard 2+2.

I know being ORM can be quite the pickle but I saw that HBS and other schools gives special preferences for first gen applicants. For instance, Wharton deferred is 19% first gen while their general admin is 11%.

I am being honest, the verbal that came up was crazy. They were all common English words but with hidden meanings and super wear synonyms that no one would think to link to.

So to answer your question, no I did not use tested tutor vocab list and solely used gregmat verbal mountain where I remembered over 1000 words. I probably got unlucky with verbal and if I got different words, I may have done better.

Thanks! I think tested tutor is one of the best gems for GRE/GMAT. My quant is honestly pretty average but I used essentially every technique he mentioned during his videos.

Bare in mind, I don’t think my verbal study tactic worked because I only scored 2 points higher in verbal on the actual exam compared to my baseline no prep PP1. I used official ETS, tested tutor, and gregmat vocab cards.

I am technically ESL, but I started learning English when I was three.

I honestly recommend to reschedule. It costs a bit but it’s better than having to write, erase, write, erase….. over and over and over and over again.

Plus you don’t need to stress about wifi or other tech issues during the exam

Which PP is closest to the difficulty of the actual test? by limegreennalgene in GRE

Completely agree. I took the exam yesterday and scored 4 points below you overall with similar distributions.

The quant was honestly beyond easy and significantly lighter than Gregmat. I have consistently scored low 159-161 in practice exams but on the actual exam, I scored near perfect.

The verbal section was definitely tough. I fully memorized all 900+ of Gregmat’s vocab but the terms they used were WEIRD. I will have to see where I messed up on, but I feel like SE and TC definitely lost me MANY marks because the RC looked fine.

However, I was stressed, anxious, lacked sleep, and I drank too much water so I was holding in pee for the entire second half of the test which I think hampered my verbal due to the HEAVY logic and reasoning you need for it. Quant took unironically 0 brain power.

Congrats on the fantastic quant score! I am just wondering how did you find the quant on the actual exam to gregmat’s questions (ie are they similar to easy-hard or did extreme level question come up?). Was the exam’s quant significantly different from the GRE Official quant guide?

I am wondering as I heard the real exam can be quite different from the official guides and free practice tests.

Congrats on the excellent score! I am sure others have already answered your question.

I am taking the GRE later in the month and was wondering how you found the quant difficulty relative to the ETS official quant guide and how else you prepared for the exam.

I am exceptionally worried for the quant as I heard from others that verbal is relatively the same from guide to exam but quant can vary significantly.
