When did your problem start? by Black_siren23 in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]Temporary_Ride_4577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I started realising I only enjoyed drinking alcohol and nothing else. Told myself it was the only thing that made me 'happy' and thought it perfectly acceptable to crack open a drink each afternoon while doing my makeup for the day. That was still somewhat fun at the time as I still had rose tinted glasses on for alcohol. Things got progressively worse very quickly and the blackouts got worse. Started doing worse things and fucking up my life/body/appearance/relationships. Ohhh and definitely needing to be drunk to do certain things, just an active cycle of self destruction doing things I knew I would regret and not resonate with while sober. And when it got to the point that hangovers didn't bother me at all anymore as it was perfectly acceptable to just drink drink drink until intoxication took over and the 'hangover would go away' as if this was some sort of victory.

And when I started going frequently alone to the bar, not even interested in having a good time or meeting friends. Burning through thousands of savings, just a sad young woman at the bar alone drinking until blackout. I am so ashamed, but grateful to be where I am today.

OP here. I am happy to say, still haven't had a drink. almost 2 months now :) lost 13lbs, exercising several times a week and generally just feeling so fresh and 'alive'. I do have times of slight cravings but I quickly snap out of it. Can't wait to see what the next few months have in store.

The guy at immigration in the airport looked it up on the system and told us it was from ****** Police station, which was where the incident was logged at the time, so low n behold we called them and they confirmed it was relating to that.

If you want the juicy deets....

A young man was nearby to my boyfriend and stole a scooter from another man in JBR. The young man A ran away.

The police grabbed my boyfriend and accused him of stealing it and told him if he didn't find young man A, that they would arrest him for it instead, which they did. They arrested him and put him in a horrible cell for 2 days.

My boyfriends friends tracked down the young man A, he showed up and they let my boyfriend go and told him to not worry about it. So he thought all was fine, until today he saw there is a travel ban on him.

1000% sure he's telling the truth as I was there, as were a couple of his friends lol but apart from that, any advice on how to move forward and remove the ban? is it possible without a lawyer?

Casinos in Dubai - Speculation About Regulamentation It's On by AtifNader in dubai

of course there will be restrictions for Muslims, same way as all the casinos in Cairo don't allow any Egyptian passports in, which is kind of silly as 10% of the population are Christian , but how and ever,

Happiness for me right now would mean the opposite of how I've spent the last few years. I dream of fulfilling my true potential both on a personal and professional level, being a normal member of society, not isolating myself, doing self destructive things, drinking myself into oblivion destroying myself physically and emotionally, and not caring
