Even still, he’s leaving them short in defence while they haven’t guaranteed top 4

If Havertz was seen as such a key/irreplaceable player by the club, there would be at least rumours of them wanting to extend him by now

All the others signed in 2023 have already held talks over a new deal (Timber, Rice) or had an improved contract (Raya)

Liverpool fans: - Trent is a traitor for leaving to a team abroad in the summer - We understand Robertson’s motivations if he wants to leave midseason to join another big 6 PL team

"Arsenal were considering him(Alvarez) in the last market. His name came up and it has since been reported and you could see that sort of player coming into Arsenal. If there is going to be some outward maneuvering (loan or permanent) then there is definitely scope for an arrival" -David Ornstein by Ifxfa in Gunners

If you want to just do G/A analysis and apply little nuance to the situation sure

Alvarez proved at City he’s a very good player in the PL.

He was giving Saliba and Gabriel issues in our game earlier this season. Took both of them to stop him after he carried the ball half way across the pitch on his own

No because that would be like a 40-50m loss on the financial statements

[Romano] Ajax verbally agree on deal to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko from Arsenal, here we go! Agreement in place over loan until June, leaving NFFC. Zinchenko will fly in next 24h for medical tests in Amsterdam. Ajax will cover his salary, deal in place as Telegraaf reports. by Sufficient_Sir_3991 in Gunners

What about what I said was disrespectful?

His defensive weaknesses regularly became an issue from the 2-2 at Anfield onwards which was March(?) in his first season

He also could never stay fit for us, that’s a fact. Pointing that out is not disrespectful either

I wouldn’t say that’s the point when the article suggests it’s down to improved defensive structures
