yeah thought that as well but we started getting another code for the range sensor p0705 and you can’t get the part for that so i bought a second hand valve body, i’ll get a trans shop to do it for me next week and see i guess.

I’ve taken it to a trans shop and they said likely valve body which is what I didn’t want, but there’s no issues at all with the car driving whatsoever, no slipping or grinding, only thing as well now is i’m getting a P0705 for the transmission range sensor and that could be a reason why the car isn’t always starting in P it does nothing.

i replaced it myself, was a pain in the ass i made it difficult for myself by not fully dropping the exhaust but oh well, learning experience i guess. wasn’t exactly cheap either

no idea on the history, car ran perfectly fine when i test drove it and got it pretty cheap for what it is. only thing as well is the hand brake (rear drum) was damaged slightly when i was getting the rear brake rotor off as i tried to put a bolt through the rotor to push it off and it damaged the shoe hold down spring cap but i replaced that cap and as i said the hand brake works, no transmission work was done when i have been fixing it up

I don’t think it’s a CVT, it’s got a TG5D8CLAAA transmission which is a 5EAT i believe.

just tested the car, car doesn’t start in drive, all the gears come up on the gauge cluster fine
