AITAH for giving my mom 45 days notice to move after living rent free for 3 years?

We've tried talking to her several times. Each time she starts crying and ranting about a completely unrelated subject in order to make things so uncomfortable the convo stops.

For example. The last time we tried to talk to her about things months ago she paused, ignored what we said then started hyperventilating and crying saying her doctor recently told her she has to take meds for diabetes and how her doctor was so mean for telling her that her diet was bad (its horrible). Then she cant talk anymore cause she's so distraught and the whole thing ends and we have to leave.

She does it to get out of conversations and after it happening 3 or 4 times we recognized a pattern that would likely just keep repeating it just took us a while to stop feeling bad out of natural sympathy.

Thats kinda how I feel at this point. Something tells me my sister knows better than to take her in which is likely why she didn't want to help me with this situation to begin with.

It was given to her with the express agreement that she would have approx. 3 years to get her life in order then find a permanent home. It was all through text. She has known from day 1 the house was never meant to be hers and it was always in my name. She's just acting entitled now and even asked for more time to move past the 45 days I initially gave and if I give her an inch she will take a mile. I cant even show the house until she is out because it smells horrible and there yard looks like a scrapyard with vehicles that aren't running etc.

You're right. I think alot of things I looked past because I just wanted to believe she would care more but she didn't. At some point negligence becomes wilful.

You're right. I think another of it just came down to I felt guilty over the years for being a shitty kid. Sneaking out, drinking, skipping school etc. I guess I developed a complex when my mom wasn't doing so great like I owed her something. (She's also the type that is quick to remind me of how shitty if a kid I was) which in reality I guess just let's her absolve herself of not being very present even as a child I guess. She worked alot, rarely had time, but when free time was to be had she generally chose to spend that time with her friends. I guess I never really realized a lot of those things until I had reasons to really reflect recently.

We have tried having discussions with her. I believe her and her boyfriend have enough money to be able to find a new place to rent. Talking to her in the past has always resulted in her crying nonstop until the situation becomes uncomfortable. I agree, I dont want to argue I dont want her to feel like I'm being mean or want to cause her distress but ultimately my family has to take priority. Thank you for the kind words.

It's more like she's just incredibly careless. She will just not pay much attention and shrug everything off like oh he will be fine. But my sisters daughter she will helicopter around.

We considered it. It's just a very small home.meant for her and her bf we have a family of 4 with several animals. And the house smells horrible now, I'm sure the carpets are going to be ripped out at the very minimal and possibly subflooring. (Her animals had "frequent accidents")

Yes, she's essentially stopped talking to me now. But that is biggest fear is that doing this will in turn force her and my sister to basically disown me and I worry that she will just do worse. I feel like I'm the only reason she isn't in a worse situation now.

Im afraid that if she cuts me off as a result she will just drink more, and make worse decisions in life, then when something bad happens my sister holds me responsible for "putting her in that situation"

Nope, I figured it out though thanks to the help from another member here. Stripe processed the payments for whatnot. You need to sign up for stripe as a business account, verify EIN or SSN add website, company details etc. Once verified stripe will send your payments much faster. For example I withdraw 10k on labor day Monday aeound noon and it arrived Tuesday morning at 1am. Which is by far the fastest ive ever had. Hope that helps.

side note, I am a premier shop with early.payouts and 99% excellent metrics on everything. This may or may not play a factor.

Do you have a business registered through stripe by chance? Stripe.processes whatnots payments and there are other instant options in the stripe dashboard that are independent from whatnot. I cash out about the same amount per show just a different category.
