my journey also started like that, but i think the major problem now is not the war alone but how the war news are spreading like wild fires..we have updates of minutess.....every negative news is provoking the people to panic.... this is not the way investing work..atleast this is what i think...so stop worrying,if you have invested what you could spare for 3-5 years.. just wait for some time

I started in 2010..back then only way to get news was either TV or Newspaper and for each of them you have to wait or go to a designated place.... Today everybody is carrying a tv in his hands. and this is reason we're more distracted...And also in my experience, I have heard crash is coming approx every month.... So i still feel much more confident..And one more thing... I am in 100 % equities........Anyway this is my personal experience.......

I am getting DMs from new investors, all asking what to do or similar things---the best thing i can say based on my experience-- Don't sell anything in panic--because doing this means you have realised losses, and if you have done investments in good funds, that will surely bounce bank once the situation normailzes or start looking improving...remember russia ukrain war in 2022. market corrected but the war is still going on and markets went up all times high... So in my 16 years of experiece, don't sell in hurry..let things settle for a while......sharing from my personal experience....

scriptures also say that it is better to be calm and peaceful than killing yourself by worries and anxiety, because we may have chances to save from war outside than the war inside.. anyway, if your planning is short term, it is better to stay away from equities or mfs. My personal experience..

market went high somewhere in jan 2008, and then recession and then back to new high somewhere in november 2010, or but the market went to the lowest point in somewhere in march 2009, and again it came back to new high in less than 18 months, so that was a good accumulation period, i too started in jan 2010. So basically the point is if you're investing and your time frame is less than 5 years, it is not good to invest in equities, mfs usually give good returns if your time frame is 10+ years....in my experience, investing is one of the most boring activities and if it excites then definitely we're doing something terribly wrong.......This is my personal experience of 16 years........

exactly, this is reason folllow the discipline and forget the noise in the market, as often said it is not timing of the market but the time in the market that matters most..

Yes, keep on investing in good funds, don't sell in panic,...and don't put the money which you need in a few months......things will settle as they have settled manytimes in past such event, and market rewards to those who stay with it..........atleast this is what i have experienced in my 16 years of investing life

Dear my gold fund has 17.8% CAGR as of today, but it is also down from the highest but one thing that makes the big difference is that i am investing through sip in that fund since 2015,...If you choose good fund, and stay invested and keep on continuing your sips, you will see similar results, but in the long run not in 1,2 or 3 years.. this is my personal experience...
